I had a hat like that once, back when I lived in Albuquerque. Let a neighbor have it; he said it made him feel like a badass. He was a science teacher. He was the kind of guy people interrupted while he was talking, like he wasn't even there. Even his wife and kid treated him like he was a yard dog trying to get into the house. Right after I moved away I heard he got cancer. Poor schmuck probably died in hospice care alone while his wife found a new husband, a guy with some money, some real cajones.
Anyway, I found my Pope hat. It's stained. I'll send you the cleaning bill.
