How to get people to join my Steam group?

So I made a new steam group today and I really want this group to be an awesome place for gaming questions, giveaways and other gaming orientated stuff.

I have already done a few giveaways on the group (2 is up right now) and I plan to host more in the future.

Trying to make a logo right now as I know it looks boring without it.

I am just wondering if there is any sort of smart ideas some of you might know that will make the group more popular. :)

Create a group only giveaway that a lot of people want and advertise it here.

This will not bring quality people that want to provide to the group though, just a bunch of people who want a free game.

I guess that wasn't the right choice of words. I meant it would bring people that only care about entering a giveaway and then never returning and not the type of people that are interested in the group and would participate in discussions.

I am not only good at using the wrong words, but also writing run on sentences :)
