That's just political correctness, we all know that the Steam Holiday sale is based upon the Judeo-Christian holidays.

All the Caesars believed themselves to be gods, actually. Very similar to the Pharaohs.

No. It's based on the Hallmark holidays that people SPEND more during this time of the year. When Ramadan starts being based more in consumerism then come back to Valve and ask them for this.
Christmas has very little to do with Christians, it's more to do with economics. In the dollar we trust afterall.

I don't know in the english store, but the italian version is actually called (translated) "Steam Christmas Sale".

On the contrary, people spend more for "deals" than for "low-but-regular prices". There was a market chain that tried selling at the "real" price all the time and... it went out of business.
Of course a game is always the same game, while it's a lot easier to percive two comparable pairs of trousers as actually different, but on a big scale I think they still sell more if they do sales.
Just my though, do want you want with it. :)

You obviously haven't read the Cheerios copypasta story. I recommend you Google it.

Sales start an hour after sundown each day. Otherwise, Valve clearly taking advantage of calorie-deprived folks.
;)

Do you also advocate that they have a festivus and a hanukkah sale? They call it a WINTER sale, so as not to specify any religion or group of people, however, since valve is based in the states, and 80% of the country celebrates SOMETHING during December... well ya.

Here's a valid reason: Ramadan is a holiday, thus there is already a sale for it and it's going on RIGHT NOW!

Um just no. With your idea there'd be a sale like almost every month of the year thereby destroying the purpose of those iconic Summer, Autumn, Winter sales etc. What next? A Valentine's Day sale where you can craft badges get Roses which you then send to a steam friend of the opposite sex and get a "heart" which would lead to the crafting of TF2 valentine items? Or maybe digital love games where Lord Gaben is the Love Guru?

Could actually be pretty interesting. Maybe the sales start at sundown or something. I guess the big problem is that Ramadan is so long though.

Hell yeah, %10 of profit should go for a new Pastafarian churh !

No.Steam doesn't celebrate Jesus's birthday, they celebrate NEW YEAR.I hate all religions, I don't want any religious crap to determine my gaming behaviors.

I accept all religions, but this would be a bad idea. Steam is a community of many different people, but this doesn't mean they have to make a sale for every feast. Let's just keep Steam and Religious things away from each other, okay? Also, having a sale like this would be the same as pushing a Religion in your throat.

I hope that they like my idea. What would you guys think of a Steam Ramadan Sale.
Here's my post on the Steam forums: http://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/10/648814841684697020/
"I'm perfectly fine with the Steam Holiday sale and I am glad that Valve respects their community. However, being a Muslim, I was hoping Valve might host a "Steam Ramadan Sale" during Ramadan each year?
Instead of crafting snow globes, users would be able to craft Stars and Crescents. The Stars and Crescents could then be turned into items, such as Team Fortress 2 turbans and Dota 2 burkhas.
I believe that such an event would help showcase that Steam is a diverse international community of friends. You might even consider hosting sales for other major religions, such as a Steam Diwali Sale. Of course, Valve and game developers/publishers would make a lot of money off of the sale as well.
What does everyone think of my idea?"
