Seeing Street fighter X tekken is 75%. I'm really temped. Is it worth it? Or should I just wait, or not buy it. I really don't trust campcom at this current time.

Any help would do wonders. Thank you very kindly :3

It is a really good game but personally, I liked Street Fighter 4, Arcade Edition much more than this one.

I think it will go on sale again for 75% off during the winter sale. I would hold on and play one of your other 87 games.

So don't worry, you're save for now.

I can't agree with you on that. I didn't see any Capcom games on sale last time. Even though RE5 was on midweek madness deal few weeks before it was still full price at the sale time. I believe it's better safe than sorry and buy it now if you want it

It depends on your opinion. I don't have problems with it, it's just another program that runs when you play games and you need an account for it (like Steam).

I see.

With my recent experience in Batman-Arkham City, it doesn't even start it's own client since the client seems to be implemented in every GFWL game anyways, so it doesn't run all the time. i find that very little annoying, since i have a windows live account anyway due to MSDN.

Oh, I forget about that. The only game I have that needs GFWL is GTA IV.

@OP you don't need to run a program, when you start the game there just comes a litle pop-up (like the Steam overlay) and that's all, it isn't really a client when it is integrated in games, it's just an overlay.

Really? From my experience with Dirt 3, the GFWL process needs to be running before a game can start. And it puts itself in the launch-on-startup list when installing, so it ends up running all the time. I've disabled it manually and now have to start it manually if I want to play the game. I also have to shut it down manually after I'm done playing.

Oh, really? I never had those problems with GTA IV, maybe it depends on the games you run.

Are you sure there isn't a wlidsvc.exe in your services list, set to start automatically? It uses silent processes, not alerting you to its presence in any way. You have to look at your processes tab in Task Manager to find it.

Upon starting the service, the processes that can be found in Task Manager are WLIDSVC.EXE and WLIDSVCM.EXE

If those aren't running at all times, then could you please open a GFWL game and tell me if they run then? And do they close when you exit?

Nope, there is none of these running and or at startup and I think that GFWL is somehow gone on my PC. I just started GTA IV and there came nothing from GFWL (????).

Edit: Now I'm repairing my installation and I'll look if it then starts.

Edit 2: I started it now and there is still no GFWL, have they removed it in an update?

Except that it runs when you don't play games too, and, unlike Steam, has no redeeming qualities. It's just DRM.

It doesn't run when you don't play games like Steam does, it's just an overlay in the games.

Edit: Sorry, just read the other post.

That's not what it does on my PC. Trying to run Dirt 3 without starting the GFWL process first causes a crash on startup.

Edit: Continued the conversation above.
