You should remove your Steam login name from the image as quick as possible.

Yeah I don't think they understood what happened. I posted about it below.

Don't judge the whole SG community based upon what you think one user may have done. Maybe you picked up a free key somewhere and someone else tried it, and happened to click that button? Also, as someone else pointed out... you may want to remove your account name.

When a key is used already and someone tries to enter it they will get a message saying it's a dupe.. and there's a button that says retrieve account.. they may have hit enter or pushed the button on accident. They can't gain access to your account doing this unless they have your email and password associated with it.
Did you win this key in a GA?

Sometimes members will post keys in a drop thread cause they aren't sure if they work or not so they give them away for someone to use.. it could of been that. If could of been a key that you traded for if you make trades. If could of been a key in a free mass giveaway.. sometimes the used keys get distributed again by accident. There's a lot of different things it could of been.

It's completely harmless. Happens when you use a key and then someone else tries to use the same key (for example, it happens pretty often if you got the key in a key drop - you activate the game, but multiple people keep trying to activate because they don't know it's used already). It has nothing to do with people trying get access to your account or anything.

+1
I have had several such messages and it's just like Jatan said! :3

+1 We used to do this in our group chat after a key drop, just to wind the winner up. xD

Ironically, you're making it more likely that someone will gain access to your account by posting your steam login name like that.
I get those emails all the time. They're nothing to worry about. They can't get access to your account just by querying a key.

It even says what to do if you did not request the query: Ignore the message.

If it's never happened to them before it then they freaked out. I remember when it happened to me the first time a long time ago.. I'm like wth is going on lol.

OP's english level is equal to duck's . He probably understood 2 words out of whole message and went bananas.

Every time I hunt for free keys on 4chan/reddit/here I have mail full of messages like this xD
Pls next time use google before making such accusations :)

With all seriousness , i get one of those at least twice a month ...
Anyone who has many games on steam is subject to getting that shit .
You have a dozen of games that have been given away on mass for free b4 , and those giveaways tend to send Duplicate keys all the time .
And there are people who just keep clicking the thing and send the requests to steam

I think it's their first time seeing this, so they are freaking out because they don't understand what happened.

Not the point is it? Pissing on those same people that gave him those games, it's that.
Aside from his ratio that can be considered leeching.
Speaking about being grateful, have you even thanked Ozo for that indiegala gift you took?
Or did you forget you leave your email adress behind.

And the "recover account" button is right next to the "cancel" button when you enter a productkey you got e.g. from the Orphan Key-drop Thread.
Happend to me once that i clicked on "recover" by accident and someone like you will get this message... so keep your horses in the stable and the church in town xD

This automated message does not necessarily mean ill intent, also with a community of almost 1 million users you are bound to have a few bad apples.
