Do You Know Your Steam Friends?

Why, of course, not.. At least, not in real life.

Seven IRL, but I only really talk to three of them and only game with one; worked on a game fan site with an additional two others years ago and met one of those two at E3.

In 10 friends, there is only 1 that I don't know in real life.

without counting, I think it's around 50-50 now

Know none in real life, have never met. At most, I will know where they live, which gender they are, perhaps about their work, school, age. That's about it.

I find it funny how people refer to "in person" as "in real life". It's all part of the same life, lol.

Anyway, 29/31 friends are people that I have met prior to being Steam friends.

I have only one Steam friend and she is my friend in real life.

I know a few in real life, maybe 6 or 7. Some are from here, and most are people I've traded with.

like 15, most of them through a game that is not even on steam :P

1/3 is real life friends, classmates and such. 1/3 is online friends and the last third is traders and winners/gifters from SteamGifts and Steamtrades.

I only know 2 of them and one is my brother.

he's a fellow steamgifter

I think about 10 or 11 are RLF - Rest or onliners. I did laugh when someone said RLF = console gamers.. this does make sense to me as well. If you were to ask my 60+ friends list how many are RLFs for Xbox.. Id say about 60% of them.

i personally know every single one of my steam friends in real life.

exceptions are temperory friends that add me to offer a trade, etc.
