Well...at least that is for me :p..i only enter games that i have in my Wl(i only have 40 games) and wait nothing more...Then i lurk forums :p.

Just enter ga. Getting into groups and whitelists as well as gaining level can increase your chances, butjust be patient, enter what you want and eventually you'll win.

I come for the all you can eat buffet.

Joining groups to win more.

I just try increase my amount of entries without winning anything.

Determining when you win is simple, you just calculate the giveaway endtime in second elapsed from Thursday, 1 January 1970. You then make sure your entry is the largest prime number that the time is divisible by.

Well first of all ratio is not a good measure for win rate. It merely measures how much you gave over time compared to what you won. You could have an infinite win/sent ratio with only 1 win over 5 years if you never sent anything. That wouldn't have been a very impressive win rate. Adversely you could have a ratio of 0.01 even though you won 10 out of 10 games in one day, but gave away 1000 games before that.
Also, most people here measure ratio in sent/won especially since SGTools was introduced, so just saying that people might have got confused by your poll, especially since it doesn't explicitly state the measure (though it can be fairly easily inferred from your description).
You should ask people for something like their won/entries or won/time ratio to more accurately get an idea of win rate. Which leads me to the most basic tip I can give: Enter giveaways with less entries (relative to your game preferences), that's the only way to consistently increase your winning chances. That includes spending effort to locate more lucrative giveaways in the forums, puzzles and the like.

Being high level, entering group only, whitelist or puzzle giveaways increase your chances by a lot.

That's the only trick, well if you call it even.

To solve hard puzzles you need super brain.
To enter group giveaways, you need to be lucky, or high level enough, and more given than won ratio, as well being constant giveaway creator.
Being whitelisted is also about luck, some people might whitelist you if they like something about you, be it comment, profile pic, good ratio or whatever.
Being high level is as well about luck if you understand what I mean, since you have to give away a lot, which requires some good financial condition.

You'll never get games like GTA 5, Witcher 3 and etc, by only entering public giveaways, if you do, consider yourself VERY lucky, since who give away those games put a high level restriction, like 7-10, they'll make it whitelist only, invite, group or just high level, to get that, you must be enough level, be whitelisted, being in special group, or have a super brain which can solve those puzzles.

The trick is to enter giveaways. :)

If you want more than this, enter giveaways with fewer participants (higher levels, forum giveaways, puzzles).

Easiest way to win is enter everything, including games you don't want. ;)

You can use(?!) your sent/won ratio as a powerful tool to capture other forum checkers heart and by just adding a bit positive activity in forum you probably will find yourself in more blue hearts.

Also you are Lvl 5 so you can enter Lvl-based GAs to increase your winning chance.

I don't know about you guys, I just bought a SteamGifts Gold™ membership. It has already paid for itself really.
Still wonder if I should upgrade to Platinum™ but I think the whole 25x entries per giveaway is kinda dick to everyone else... that and it's complete overkill.

I'll tell you the secret everybody is keeping from you (even sg itself deleted my first post to hide it!)

1. Stop giving. The less you give, the higher is your win:gifted ratio.
2. Enter everything, even if you don't want it. More entries = more wins.
3. Prefer giveaways with lower number of entrants (high level, dlcs, overbundled games, bad games, games without cards, etc). Higher odds = more wins.
4. Enter groups which require that their members make monthly giveaways for that group. Make sure to give only the required amount and not more.
5. Wonder if winning some games you will never play at all was worth the bother :P

In case somebody takes this seriously: no, I don't do it and I don't actually recommend it to anybody. I want to be happy and exited, when I see that space cat, and I wish the same to others.
