Is the site really really slow?

It's not just you. I personally blame bots, but that's just a guess without being able to see the logs. I know it has been bots in the past when people openly admitted to using them right when the site slowed to a halt a few days ago.

I've experience the same thing last 2 days, server running a bit slower maybe due to overload? :p

It appears that way. It was running good a couple hours ago.
Edit: Now it seems fine again.

Yes, it`s VERY slow

Yup it's probably the amount of users on the site, it never did this when it was 10k members. I'd guess around 2k people could be on this site at once, loading pages and entering giveaway and commenting so that's probably why. 2k connections is hard for a server to handle.

It used to be slow for me few days ago. Now it seems to work ok.

I imagine it's less about the number of members and more about DOS attacks being launched against the service to make it unusable for periods of time.

I hate to say this because I love the site, but it's been so slow and only intermittently working for me that I've stopped doing giveaways completely...

I do hope the server is not running on Apache (Google: C10K) considering the number of members (and, likely daily visitors) it has.

It does get slow often, but I don't really mind.

It typically slows down when I look through pages

Must have been surfing during rush hour. I recommend playing Mario to make sure the interpipes are clean to fix your bowser.
