Ah that BS again. I honestly don't know if a lot of people are going to dedicate that much time to getting keys from Twitch just to make 0CV GAs from them but the mods have to do what the mods have to do.

A lot invest the time (and multiaccount in many cases) to get multiple copies and do GAs before the games are set to 0cv.
So yes, a good bunch exploit the cv system as far as possible.

That seems insane to me. All this work to get 0.01 CV points that will give you access to... 3 or 4 extra GAs a month past level 6? And it's not even a guaranteed win. Seems like a lot of work for no reward.

It's a great way for the multiaccounters, autojoiners and cv cheaters to level up very fast.
They don't give only one game away that they got this way and in many cases more copies as 1.
To reach level 3 with such stuff isn't uncommon.
Other exploiters, not the hitsquad twitch ones, reach level 5 with only free games.
I don't want to say how exactly.
And then you have high level ones, like level 8, with stats as in the screenshot. His level would be much lower if all games would be listed correctly as free or reduced. He is a multiaccounter that grab every freebie in all sites with 30 bot accounts.

this I at least understand why it goes 0CV, you do see a notable uptick in the number of giveaways from them when they do happen(including multiple copy GAs).
I am still bothered some games go 0CV because a single region gets a 98-99% discount due to currency conversions, for me 0CV = Was free, or fake asset flip garbage/shady devs.

It happens only if some users abuse that price and give multiple copies away.
And you see everytime the same users from the same few (fake) regions that abuse the prices with 5 copies of each game with such a high discount.
And only a small amount of the abused games land on the free list, because far from each one gets reported.

When people win ~1,000 games until they are caught and "suspended permanently" only to re-surface after one year I can see financial appeal.

Don't know what happened with all the keys. Suffice it to say that it took support years and 1k games won on SG by this person to notice hundreds of unactivated wins and saying bye through permanent suspension finally.

And the best on the story.... this user don't login since 1 year. So maybe, only maybe, the mods were 1 year+ too late with handling the ticket :-D
But at least the "new" mods try to manage the old tickets too and we should be thankful for this.

A part of them sell and/or trade a part of their stolen stuff and the other part that are given away on sg brings them, in the most cases, a lot of wins from groups and from their WL.
Nearly none check deeper for the source of someone and a lot of groups are happy about each GA. When they know that the games are stolen it don't make a difference for the most. I gave up to inform the most leaders.
All the wins here are for the multiaccounters/autojoiners/cheaters/abusers/exploiters, on the lowest level, money that they don't need to spend IF they activate all their wins.
If not, they earn from the traded/sold games too.
And of course a part sell the accounts after X months/years, when they gathered enough freebies and wins (= games for the account).
