for me every e3 is something special, well it's not so special like in the past anymore cause many titles are announced earlier and there are many more shows nowadays. still i enjoyed watching every conference the last 3 days each 1-2 hours and not spoiling myself so i avoided checking gamepages etc.

EA: boring......... star wars battlefront 2 was the only thing a bit interesting, but nothing new, no dead space, no star wars visceral, no new games, nothing at all!

Ubisoft: sequels, sequels, already announced stuff, typical ubisoft games. ok, again nothing new

xbox: they definitely focused more on games, learned from sony last year, still some nice indiegames shown (most interesting ones!) and nothing new either, nothing surprising, i only hear, exclusive 20 times, 4k etc. oh Anthem really got me interested.

sony: well so sad how underwhelming and UNSURPRISING this was! new game announcements were ok, but nothing WOW, and then there was just some more gameplay/scripts from already announced games. god of war wasnt striking me sadly, it looks to much babysitting but the combat seems to be fast paced, it will be a great game im sure, i love god of war, overall wow it was nothing special this time as well. spiderman will be great im sure but the demo was so boring, only qte shit.

pc gaming show, nice new stuff like scenes from tabletop mechwarrior, but then nothing special here either. not really great pc stuff, i miss ma old pc e3 times with so many awesome rpgs, strategy games, ego shooters....

nintendo: very short and nothing new too, yeah metroid prime 4 officially now! yeah, mario good as always, thats it.

for me this was so boring this year, i know many dont agree, i just dont see something which hyped me!
also the gender war sucks so much, how often girls are presented so offensive gets on my nerves.

I think this counts as Off topic, and E3 is an industry event, it's not much more than a few days of game trailers...

And no shit it's unsurprising, you hear of everything before. The games I saw looked pretty cool. I'm looking forward to the new mario game, the xcom 2 expansion, some ps4 games and some other stuff. The new AC also has more tactical combat, it looks a bit like the witcher, which is interesting.

Yea there were very few surprises this year. The new ORI game, the Shadow of the Colossus remake, and Anthem were the only real surprises for me. The Last Night looked good too, but already knew about that one for some time.

Playstation conference for E3 2015 was awesome; Shenmue 3 (something fans had wanted for over a decade), Final Fantasy VII remake (another game fans had wanted for over a decade), The Last Guardian re-reveal (many thought it would never come out), Horizon Zero Dawn, etc.

You mean Shenmue 3 kickstarter and the game hasn't come out yet, Final Fantasy VII that also hasn't come out yet, Last Guardian which was absolute shit, Horizon Zero Dawn that launched the same week as zelda and therefore nobody talks about. Cool.

How things went afterwords is a separate issue, but during E3 it was very exciting to see multiple games the fans had been clamoring for being announced at once. And Horizon Zero Dawn is a very impressive game, even if its release date wasn't ideal.

Yeah I always get excited when I'm told "oh look guys you can spend money now for a game that might never come out or be entirely shit in a few years!"

Also how fucking exciting a sequel to a dead franchise, a remake and a game from devs that have such little idea on how to make new games their biggest announcement this year was to announce a remake to like the only good game they made. Top notch. Oh and also a brief announcement of a game whose title makes so little sense I still don't know what the game is actually about.

Woo. My pants flew off my legs so hard in 2015 I still haven't found them.

For me this year Ubisoft literally stole the show, one great looking game after another.

Ubisoft games always look good right up until you load them up and play them. If their DRM servers even work on release lol

I dunno, maybe its because I'm a big nintendo fan, but the Mario and Luigi superstar saga remake and the Rabbids and Mario games booth looked really fun.

EA: just the game they are producing (not making), A Way Out.
Ubisoft: Beyond Good and Evil 2, but just a cgi... Like if overwatch/lol cgis have something to do with the actual game...
Microsoft: Past year microsoft conference focused also a lot on games, they presented game after game. The new metro was surprising. And yep, promising indies.
Sony: very meeeeh conference because of the announced games. They focused A LOT in VR games. The only surprise was... shadow of the colossus remake. PS2, PS3, and now PS4... Unnecessary?
PC: this conference doesn't make any sense... who is pc? pc is everything, not someone.
Nintendo: they live in another world. Their fans are very happy with the announced games.

Nope. I can't remember the last time an E3 impressed me. If any at all even did.

I'm not a fanboy, as I game on literally everything, but Nintendo utterly DOMINATED E3 this year.

Metroid Prime 4
Xenoblade Chronicles 2
Splatoon 2
ARMS
Yoshi's Wooly World 2
Kirby
Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC Packs 1 & 2
Zelda: Breath of the Wild - The 4 Champions Amiibo
Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle
Core Pokemon RPG for Switch
Fire Emblem Warriors
Rocket League for Switch
Super Mario Odyssey
Ever Oasis
Metroid: Samus Returns
...plus other stuff I didn't get to see.

Oh, and most everything they announced or showed is coming out THIS YEAR, 2017. They made it a point to tell us that. Shots have fired at the other presentations LOL.

I am looking forward to a lot o fthings the other companies announced, but I'll have plenty to play this year while I wait for next year's releases :D

Oh, everything they announced or showed is coming out THIS YEAR, 2017

Not true... Metroid Prime 4 is starting its development. The same for the new Pokemon. Kirby goes for 2018, the same than the new Yoshi. It is true that other companies are more focused in showing games at a long term, but that doesn't mean they don't have titles coming this year. It is just a different marketing practice, Sony for example decided to announce games for 2018/19 and not talking about the upcoming games like Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom, Hidden Agenda, Gundam Versus, Matterfall, Gran Turismo Sport, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, Valkyria Revolution, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA.... All available in the next weeks/months.

I have yet to find a good reason to ever be whelmed by E3. Even if they've now opened the floodgates to the public, it's still an industry show first and foremost, and I don't understand how it manages to generate so much hype among the general gaming community.
