Cakeday the Tenth

When I first visited this site 10 years ago I was half convinced it was some sort of scam, as many people do. A site where random people give away games to other random people on the internet? How does that make any sense? I couldn't quite see where the angle was, but it had to be some sort of prank, right? Except the forums seemed to indicate it wasn't, otherwise a lot of people were in on the joke. So I entered a few giveaways and not soon after made my own... fast forward 10 years and here we are.

A lot of things have happened over the years. ...mostly bad things, if I'm honest, but my experiences with this site in particular have almost always been positive (I can recall maybe 3 giveaways out of a total of 750 now that left a bad taste in my mouth, and that's a really good score in my book). I always enjoy celebrating Christmas here, when I get to live out my childhood dream of becoming Santa Claus. (This dream was ruined when I realized nobody was going to give me gifts for free just to distribute them.) When you're happy, I'm happy, so I've wasted spent a lot of money on this site giving away games in an effort to make that happen. We've laughed, we've cried, we've made Valve happy by buying stuff on their store... Good times.

Enough of the old man rambling, let's get to what you're really here for. In honor of my very first wishlist giveaway, we'll have another one using the very same token I used then: Portal 2 - The Final Hours. And since this is the tenth one, yeah, let's make it 10 copies, why don't we?

Unfortunately using The Final Hours does mean people who've won it back then can't win again, but that was sort of the whole idea behind reusing the token. I considered putting up a consolation prize for people who already own it who'd be salty, but a friend of mine said "let them say salty", so blame her for not getting one. Sorry. :P
