So one of my giveaway has just finished. I usually look at the winner to make sure he has activated all his wins and has no multiples, but this time the person's Steam profile is private, so it shows all is wins as not activated... Is there an other way to look? I think I will send it, but just want to make sure that it's the right thing to do.

It usually doesn't work with private profiles
Or is this a new feature?

If you're referring the script, it lists everything unactivated if the profile is private.

Well the one I'm using is showing me all wins not activated.

"4. It may sound obvious, but the tool can't check not activated gifts if the profile is private."

Thanks, that's what I'm using already, doesn't work if Steam profile is private:(

Unless you hack into steam network, there's no any known way to check games of a guy who has private profile. Even SG can't check that, and that's why it requires to switch to public profile every week or so.

So you'll get games = 0, and it will show all unactivated.

Add the winner and ask for it :)

Thanks, it's a good advice. He's not a level 0 and been here on SG for a bit, so I'm sure that he has activated at least some of them, but I just wanted to make sure. Would hate to give it to someone who won't even activate it...

You can add him, and just check it manually, no need to tell him the reason :P

You can ask him, but there is no rule against private profiles.

Like already suggested, ask him to set his profile public for a few minutes, so you can check. If he's got nothing to hide, he will do it
I think :)

You can create a ticket to request a new winner, we'll check activation of their wins and either reroll or tell you it's all good.

So I have to do a ticket for that?

Yep, just go there and click "Request new winner"

OK, thanks will do that right now. Although since you have to sync once a week I am assuming you would know if he had not activate all of his win.

+1, it's nice to be able to make sure the winner has at least activated their wins, so that you don't give a game to someone who's going to turn around and regift or trade it.
