Sex and violence?
It's off-topic, but there actually is a GA hidden somewhere.

I like, not love, potatoes. But that's where it stops. Cook9ng potatoes definitely seems violent so that is what if is.
Ain't nothing complicated about that.

Because I never log out from Steam in my main browser and I have set my account to just show everything regardless of content I had no clue that they blurred the thumbnails of games considered "18+". It's particularly weird that they blur the image for Postal but not for Hatred despite the later clearly being inspired by the former, gotta love Valve's consistent inconsistency.
And yes, it's baffling that blowing up someone's head and splattering their brain on the pavement is seen as content apt for all ages but they panic at the sight of a nipple.

i recently played tormented souls and i noticed they blurred the thumbnail on my profile (don't bother checking, i've already played enough games to replace it on there). the game has two titty scenes, and it has a nudity tag, still though, it isn't marked as an "adult game".
so, i used to think they just blurred thumbnails for these adult porn games to eliminate the chances of someone seeing some sexy shit when they don't wanna see any sexy shit. but in the case of tormented souls, it looks like just any game with a nudity tag gets its thumbnail blurred? i don't know. kinda dumb if you ask me.

I haven't played Tormented Souls yet (bought it recently but it's still on the backlog) but I thought it was just a classic survival horror game from the trailer and description. Has it really gotten flagged as an adult game just because it has a bit of nudity in it? Seems a bit extreme.

yeah, it is pretty much like an old-school survival horror. there just happens to be two parts that have a little nudity. one of those is even dependent on using a certain item on something, so not everyone will even see it. it has a nudity tag, is not marked as "adult game", but does have the thumbnail blurred in profiles, which i thought was strange.

Hatred still age-gated, but it's indeed a Valve moment that hatred is shown, while Postal 2 is hidden. Both have a weapon on the thumbnail art, so I guess they could-should treated the same... so I guess it's the sexjokes/nudity part of Postal 2. Somebody has to think of the children!

I don't know if it matters but the hatred steam page asks for age verification, but for me nekopara or crush crush didn't. So despite them showing the thumbnail to the game which includes the weapon, I guess they are ok with that as many other fps games show weapons. But I assume they are not okay with the thumbnails to games with nudity and it's my guess it's because they both had other thumbails before, now changed. I'm pretty sure crush crush's was way different, so maybe it's a system where they put a blur on that game's thumbnails, or maybe they just block by genre. Technically a lot of nudity games focus on showing cleavage and shape and sexualizing stuff in their thumbails, while a shooter doesn't. I think most of eu feels the same about it. Games tlike fortnite/minecraft, etc can have thumbnails with guns/weapons, but sexual stuff isn't looked well onto, mostly because we normalized shooters for pretty much many ages, but we'd rather keep 18+ content for 18+.
They might've just missed it though, but I doubt it since this game had a huge controversy before.

Luckily Hatred has none 18+ content, right?

I think it's because as a society across basically every nation, type and kind, not just usa and not just steam, we made it okay for people under a certain age to watch content like movies, for instance rambo, terminator, fast and furious, the avengers, john wick, etc. lets say despite their age ratings and that they include blood, violence, guns and shooting etc., but we haven't done the same for porn which is the right thing to do based on how we are influenced by different things.

There is no porn on these thumbnails though?
What about "The Specialist" with Sylvester Stalonne? And like half of B class movies I watched as kid? Also first Terminator had nudity + sex scene in it. Porn is indeed not good for people under certain age, but having some short naked moments/scenes doesn't turn movie into a porn automatically.
Neither Nekopara nor Crush-Crush has porn elements without patch.
Hatred on the other hand is pure violence with some nice close up executions. You know - ISIS style. Cutting throats, shooting heads with shotgun and so on. Nobody made it okay for people under a certain age to watch content like this.

Yup. We are so proud that 90% of us are Catholics..
But I can count actual Catholics that I met on my fingers. Don't even have to take my shoes off.
There are people who fake to be catholics "because everybody is" or people who believe that they are catholics but they don't know shit about being catholic xD
So I'm not sure how "our" religion is doing the same. "Our" religion is in agonal state. Idk how longer will it be able to influence anything.

There's absolutely no way Turkey only has 1 pornstar, surely

It probably depends on "pornstar" definition. I'm not really into pornstars so my knowledge comes basically from memes and just being on the internet.. And all names I know are from USA xD Not even one from turkey or any other country xD That means that USA pornstars are on absolutely different level. The level when they became the part of pop-culture just like "normal" stars.

Check your store preferences.

It's what you see when you are not logged in. Aka default. When I'm logged in I see everything.

Which is probably a sensible default since it's a store and the best selling video game franchises often contain frequent violence or gore, like Valve's own Counter-Strikes, Call of Duties, Souls, Resident Evils, etc.
Some games don't have their content descriptors correctly set by their developers though, such as Valve's own Half-Life 1 & 2, and Red Dead Redemption 2, which is extremely graphic but is just marked as "General Mature Content".

What does tell me without telling me mean?
It's a social game in which social media users ask others to share personal opinions and beliefs without using a direct mention of the subject

Quite simple reason. I can't enter your giveaways, why should you be able to enter mine?

Sorry, but somebody has to break it down for you. The fact that you disagree with me, doesn't make me a racist automatically.
Also, why do you even use blacklists? You are afraid that I will enter that single public giveaway you do every year xD

American is not a race, people overuse the racist card for disliking [group of people]
Calling them a bigot would be the correct phrasing. It works for country, region, religion, habits and customs. A racist is a bigot focused on race.
Then it still may be true or not at all, but at least we use words by their meaning :)
