How many games do you, on average, buy for a console?

I have a ps3 (mainly for netflix), but I recently bought Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen for that console. It's too bad it will never come to PC cause that game rocks! That, along with Demon's Souls are basically the only games I have for any console.

Overall for console generation or per year/month? I buy some, sell some, play few (no time) and regret it all in the end... On PS3 I have like 30 physical games still, plus some PSN bought on sale, PS4 I think 5-6 physical and a few PSN ones. Inb4, when will console gamers get bundles?

Rhetorical question. I know we won't because console gamers don't mind spending high prices on their games...

Though my console collection is not as large as my pc/steam collection, it is larger than I care to admit XD. There should be a "lost count" option :P.

I don't game on consoles but I still own some PS2 games.

NES, SNES, N64, Game Boy, Gamecube - about 30 each
Wii, DS - about 12 each
Wii U, Xbox 360, 3DS - about 5 each

My gaming is slowly being consumed by PC...and adulthood (not enough time for games).

Hmm not a lot. I've bought roughly 12 3DS games, 11 GameCube, 33 PS3 and 2 Xbox 360 games. So about 15 on average.

I've bought about 13 NDS Games, 5 Xbox, 4 Wii, 8 GBA games, except I'm not sure where they are anymore ;_; tbh when I found out about Steam, I was appalled by how cheap they were relative to the console games ($10 on steam relative to $50 on NDS, you srs?) and that triggered a short spending spree...

None at all now. I used to buy 1-2 Xbox 360 games a month, depending on the releases during that month. These days, all I use my console for is Netflix & Youtube.
I traded all of my games in & got just a little over $700 for them all. Bought like $600 Steam credit.

On average, 0. In total, counting all the consoles I have own, 0. C64 doesn't count as console, right?

I got only Destiny, GTA V, Diablo 3 and free games which i got with PS+ subscription (cross-buy from PS Vita) for my PS3. Looking to buy The Last of Us and thats it.

I had an xbox360, and I didn't buy a PS4 or an XBOXone, So 0 games for me.

On Xbox360 I had like 20/25 games.

According to my backlog I had bought a total of 46 retail games on my PS3. I also have another 168 on PSN of which 104 I got trough PS+. If I don't count those because they are basically a rental that leaves 110 total games (not 110 purchases because some games are part of the collection) for the lifetime of my PS3. That is roughly 9% of my Steam library count.

If we're talking strictly about any games on any consoles, not including software, then I did buy on some platforms e.g Google Play (android) and Amazon for Origin Keys, aside of Steam.

Barely any. I started buying something maybe 2 years ago but haven't touched the PS3 since.

Only exclusives that are worth buying, simple as that.
Everything else, PC.

depends on the system n my expendable money in the time period of having it , when i was younger i had roughly 15 games for xbox ps2 and gamecube each , all of those were gifts or bought with gift money. ps3 i got a bit after i turned 19 but i was married to an army man so we had alot of games due to his expendable money half of which i got in the divorce its been about 3 years since then and i think i have probly at least 50 physical copies of ps3 games, 10 ps4 games, 11 wii u games , 5 vita games , and 10 3ds games ( all excluding digital which i have a few for each system so too) if i had more expendable money i'd own more games , sadly i haven't bought many games this yr so far due to lack of funds ( lost my job back in late jan. and hadn't had much luck when i finally started to job hunt after taking a few months off ....interview tuesday - crosses fingers- )
