There are some nice additions (lean, spawn mechanic) but some of the same old crap which is disappointing (hit rego, awkward loadout).

3.5?
More like 3.25. I barely noticed anything different, other then the graphics are boosted like 10-15% and you have minor changes, more or less, patch worthy, not entire game worthy.

No they're not. It's basically the same just in a larger scale and without a blue filter. But they shouldn't really have expected more.

Ugh its a shooter that takes place in modern times. The graphics are amazing, although I can run it on Ultra so maybe I get treated to something others are not, especially the console users.

And again the console users are getting dragged into a pointless discussion...

I speak just the facts. The consoles are 8 years old. BF4 runs with low res textures and many eyecandy features disabled. Not to mention a lot less animation frames.

So far all your "counter-arguments" to people claiming it's a re-hash of BF3 with little new to offer has been to attack them and their credibility with childish digs at them based on your dumbass assumptions about their hardware and supposedly low performance, or to try and drag unrelated bullshit in to defend your "(non)points" by diverting attention away from the fact that you have nothing to counter with.

Try to actually make a fucking statement, rather than just going "oh lololol you're delusional" to divert attention away from your lack of actual counter-argument and answer these two simple questions:

In what ways, speaking abstractly, does BF4 add to and/or improve upon BF3? And specifically, what new features and/or gameplay mechanics have been introduced?

And please, actually answer the questions.

Well I didn't really want to waste my time, as many of the users initial statements were so childish and uninformed.

BF is a modern military shooter, so there are limits on what can be changed. That does not mean it is a small upgrade, that just means you have to work in that world/framework.

Speaking of facts I never said "lolololol" I did however say delusional.

Anyone who wants to see for themselves can play the open beta and check out the BF4 site.

BUT since you seem MAD, I will throw you a bone and add a few of my favorite changes.

Three sides instead of two. One side is NEW(China).
Canted sights on weapons.
Persistent staged level reloading/Gun handling.
Second Screen (or more support) for your load out, real time map other information.
Commander mode is back and on steriods.
Verticality in maps, goes so far as you can deep dive into the water.

On top of a new engine, new textures, maps, sounds, more advanced physics, more detailed smart hitboxes, a DEEP single player story, new military personnel(characters), more weapons, more ammos types, more game types, more vehicles, more gadgets, new animation and much more.

So you and the others were saying?

I love how people have no idea what goes into games and say, oh yea, just patch BF3 and itll be exactly the same. Bunch of whiny fools.

They have massive problems with CPU load so graphics cards get stutter because cpu is in full load .

Its alright I guess, it feels extremely similar to BF3, and that's what is stopping from from pre-ordering. I don't know if I can put in as much time as I did with BF3 in BF4.

The first time I tried to load the game , I had to go through 2 failed attempts (ctd) and a nearly 4 minutes load time on my 3rd try followed by a slideshow :)
I thought that my old pc was finally starting to show it's age.

After installing the new nvidia drivers, things started to improve (level loading time and fps in game). The game is very fun. The weapons look and feel much better than in 3. I love the sniper rifles.

The soldiers look very elastic (for lack of a better word).

I hope the will fix the performance issues soon. I enjoy it and have it on preorder, but it needs to run flawless or I will stick with 3.

enable in game vsync, decrease resolution scale to =>100{over or equal for those who doesnt know maths},network tweak from gameplay at options, field of view at 90{at 120 is like a cheat it gives you more stability at your weapons:P and the problem is that this fact is true also over 90 can drop A LOT youur FPS read what FOV do and you will understand go to wiki for this},now for overall graphics low end with good/bad cpu choose low graphics-----mid end gpu with good cpu choose high, mid end gpu with bad cpu choose medium------well high end choose whatever you want but resolution scale over 100 will kill your cpu{bad cpu= cpu with 2 or 4 cores with the 4 cores >3ghz and good 4 cores with <3ghz}.ALSO close all the overclocks and enamble them again with the release of the full game there are stability issues because of the beta build which is alpha version but with the build of battlefield 4 from the E3 expo.I hope i will help with some of these if you want something ask me

"{at 120 is like a cheat it gives you more stability at your weapons". Shouldn't you use your own advice " read what FOV do and you will understand go to wiki for this"

Also, why the terrorbad English clusterfuck?

Also man, " low end with good/bad cpu choose low graphics" and "beta build which is alpha version"

honestly

Download punkbuster setup, put it in the BF4 folder, add Battlefield 4, check for updates, then restart. That fixed it for me.

As for performance, running on Ultra with GTX680, no lag issues at all, but the game crashes a lot.

I think there have been a ton of improvements, vehicles no longer spaz out when they touch each other, helicopters feel a little more refined, the addition of water vehicles is very nice. The destruction has been improved and things seem to...fall in a more realistic way? I also like the lean/peek mechanic and the smaller "levelutions", such as raising bollards or rolling down shop security fences.
That being said, gunplay is similar to BF3. Thankfully the ridiculous suppression is gone, and you have a new range-finding option for sniping, but overall the gunplay just doesn't feel too different. Hopefully this will be changed in the full release, the beta only has few guns.

Well I played BF3 using my friend's ID, It was complicated and wasn't much fun, but I'm loving BF4! Also runs fine on my comp.
The only thing I don't like is spawning next to the enemy and spawning outside the combat area.

Not that your CPU is bad, it's horribly coded and uses CPU power instead of GPU.

Actually you need balance, a good CPU and GPU. The game will use more CPU to support physx effects.

I have i5 3570k @ 4,5GHz, HD7950 3GB, 8GB RAM and the game runs horribly. Way too often it gets stuck at loading screen, crashes and my CPU is screaming for its life.

I have the same problem. I guess I'm gonna have to get a quad core at least, my old i3 isn't enough for even low settings for Battlefield 4 , although bf3 runs above 60fps most of the time, while sometimes dipping to 45-50 fps in 64 P maps.

Even for people that did not pre-order nor own Battlefield 3 PREMIUM.

There are times when I can run the game on full settings with great fps, but then there are times when my fps drops way too low and gets me killed. For now I'm running it on lower settings without any hassle so far.
