Finally a good Humble Choice! Past few months were so weak I was beginning to doubt we'll ever see another quality choice. And suddenly they blast such a great one! 3 very strong headliners Yakuza <3 and a nice selection of really awesome looking smaller games! Finally a bundle I'd buy with no hesitation and at full price!

My region is SEA, but I'm on a trip in Vancouver. If I buy this bundle from here, will I be able to activate these games without having to switch regions accidentally or otherwise? (I've never bought a Humble choice before.)

The region locks of your keys are given by your Humble Bundle account region. If you didn't change it manually, then you will still get SEA keys no matter what corner of the world you're in now (assuming that it was already set to SEA). You can check it on your Settings page (Account Information -> Location)
To redeem these keys, your Steam account will also have to be set to SEA (some people like to change their Steam region when travelling to another country for a lengthy period of time, that's why I'm mentioning it here).
If you never bought a Humble Choice before, then you might be able to get a coupon somehow (do you have IGN Plus rewards? or check your email to see if you have an offer for becoming a Humble Choice subscriber). Coupons / offers for $8 should be available to you if not now, then perhaps later in the month.

If you never had a subscription, then certainly. You might be able to get a $8 IGN coupon from a friend too (it can be used only for new subscribers).
If your subscription ran out some time ago (at least a few months) and you didn't resubscribe, then yes. These accounts usually get some "come back to Choice" coupons.
If you are an old subscriber and just pause every month, then it's highly unlikely that you get a coupon. You can try pausing this month too and see if you get a $1 - $2 discount (these days $4 discounts seem to be very rare).

Yeah, I guess. Seeing these are unbundled games + seeing that people in general are happy, I wouldn't hold big hopes for a coupon. But yeah - since these are not my type of games, I don't think coupon would do it for me anyway. So will keep my money for another bundle or sale.

Don't take that notification too literally. It actually means that those countries get a region locked key. It doesn't mean that your key cannot be redeemed in those countries.
The sub is confirmed to be WW. For a region locked key, you would have a message like 'can be activated only in' followed by a list of SEA countries.

If you mean you bought month and took one game so far, I recommend to do it and copy keys somewhere, cause humble can run of them and they take their time to restock it. In some cases we talk about years.
If you got a coupon that was for two months, you can cancel after one and skip that month, but next month you most likely won't get any coupon for doing it.
