Luckily the "claim reward" click registered for me even though it crashed, because when I went back now, the "claim" link now said "View Reward" and my key was there. PHEW!

Oh, and I'm going to post this here for people to see...FYI, when I registered the key, it said "Dead Island GOTY (NA + ROW)", so if your key isn't activating on Steam, try it again in a few minutes...could just be that Steam was getting flooded and couldn't check the validity of the key.
I am from the US, but since it says "ROW" is should work anywhere the game is available.

It seems weird that keys would be different, region-wise, but I guess on the bright side it means that the flood of Dead Island keys that was expected won't be happening since nobody knows what type of restrictions are on their key.

Yes. I clicked where the claim button should have been. 55 minutes later when page finally loaded I had reward (key) Took a chance and clicked on blank space and it registered. Just luck. When it started within 1 second 995 copies were all ready claimed.
