Giveaway please :З

If i ask that people create more giveaways of Natural Selection 2 because i think that game is awesomesauce, that doens't really sound like begging to me. Maybe he thinks the same of the Gothic series.

Isnt a request something like begging? Especially on such a site where we give something for free to other users? He is new, didnt give anything and asks for an specific giveaway with specific games...when this isn begging i dont know ;)...

Oh yeah this isn't begging... let's have everyone making threads in the forum "Can you please make a giveaway for insert his most wanted game". I can see that going really well, the forum totaly won't be full of these kind of begging... oh sorry not begging, requesting threads. SG will be so much better like that.

Oooor you just add the game you want to be made giveaway for to your Wishlist in Steam and then Sync your SteamGifts account. You know there is a thing SteamGifts Wishlist...

And that is why they should spam "requests" on the forum ? I think that everyone that has the time to go respond in a "Request" thread, has the time to add one game to their wishlist. Also have you even considered how that Thread will be spammed ? Do you really think someone that is going to giveaway a game and is wondering what game to giveaway will go read hundreds of pages to see what game people want ? It's way easier to go see the SG Wishlist.

One thread two months ago... Seeing that he was registered 3 months ago and that was his first giveaway, he probably didn't even know about the SG Wishlist feature.

Anyway this discussion is pointless. If you have a suggestion, go to support and make a Suggestion.

Also he was told about the wishlist in his thread and responded that he wanted to ask people so they can vote!

It's just an idea to maybe prevent this kind of threads from happening or at least decrease the amount.

There's a difference.
A beggar asks for games and doesn't contribute anything to the community.
When someone ask what game they should giveaway they're contributing to the community, unlike beggars.

This isn't the first time someone asked for a giveaway to be created, and I must say that I really don't get the mentality behind this. If someone were to actually create a giveaway based on such a "request", what does the one who asked hoped to achieve? The giveaway would probably have a few hundred to thousand entries as usual. You would just create a small chance of wining it. A very small chance.

After that what would the asker do? Request another one? And then another?
