Once I got a Gameboy Color (some time in middle school), I gave my original Gameboy and a bunch of games to one of my friends because he didn't have any handhelds.

I had a Gameboy Pocket, the black&white one.

My first console is Gameboy Advance SP, so no. D:
Is that game based on Adam Sandler's movie? I'd recommend the ported TWEWY, Ghost Trick, and Ace Attorney.

No :P , my brother is gonna port it for Ouya! :)

I'm still waiting for thoses to release directly for Android, i can freely play them emulated on Android with DraStic. But re-buying them, wouldn't be bad. D:

I found one while cleaning out my Aunt's closet.

Sadly, I lost it a month ago.

Other than a problem with the glue holding the screen on, it was a in great condition, too.

How can you lose something like that?
It's like Frodo losing the ring before throwing it into mordor!

I had an original GameBoy, a Game Gear, a GameBoy Advance, and a GameBoy Advance SP. Pretty much stopped buying handhelds after that.

The GBA SP was actually found beneath a table at a Tim Horton's.

I remember trying to get my dad to buy me a classic gameboy at a garage sale when I was a kid. The gameboy was all beat up and the batteries were held in by tape. He ended up talking me out of it/saying no. Couple weeks later he surprised me with a gameboy color instead. :)

why dont you install a gameboy emulator?...
and yes i owned one with pokemon yellow, red, blue, gold; pinball, f1 racing and some other shit :D

Possibly because emulator games are technically illegal? I use emulators (I don't exactly have a clean copyright record anyways), but there are various reasons for not using one.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

They are not illegal. Illegal is downloading someones rom & BIOS to use with the emulator, if I'm not wrong.

I've been editing my comment for accuracy since I posted it. This is the legality of it, if I'm correct.

Emulators themselves are not illegal. However, downloading copyrighted material via ways not authorized by the publisher/developer (I.E. games for emulators) is, as you probably know, illegal.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Some people don't do it for reasons like morals or preferring the original systems to play games.

The original gameboy is the only Nintendo console I have ever owned. Zelda: Link's Awakening on it is still one of my favourite games EVER :-D

EDIT: That's it, I'm getting hold of this soundtrack. It's so cool!

The "classic" gameboy (the huge white thing): No, only had friends with it.
A "classic" monochrome gameboy: Yes and still own it. It's black and a slim version of the old one (don't know the correct name and I'm to lazy to search it).

Two original gameboys, one big old gray one and then a big old green one from that same period.

Then a slim, color, and SP.
