So I've tried something in a GA [ended!]:
A movie chain.
How does it work?

You have to name a movie that shares one or more cast members with the movie posted above you.

E.g.:
Léon: The Professional and The Fifth Element, because Garry Oldman stared in both.

Yirg pointed out, it would be nice if you include a reason why you choose the movie or give your opinion on it.

So taking above example, the first post would be

[Léon: The Professional](http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/leon_the_professional/)

the second post could be

[The Fifth Element](http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/fifth_element/), because Garry Oldman stared in both and the level of green in The Fith Element is just awesome.

The idea is kind of based on Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon and the Oracle of Bacon.
Clarification:

  • Try to post a movie only once.
  • Try to use different actors/actresses on each step.
  • No more than one contribution per day from each of you eager people ;)

Now the chain as seen in the GA's comments. I omitted some posts that were off topic or had wrong movie links, hope no one minds. the idea to include reasons/opinions was not present for that chain:

I am too lazy to include links to each user/movie, please visit the GA for clickies
I you can not enter the GA, due to BL, please contact me on Steam, if you think it is unjustified. Please keep this thread clean.

I still love that movie. The second one seemed to lack something that the first one had, though. It didn't have that chemistry that the first one did.

Groundhog day - Bill Murray Harold Ramis

Sorry for being boring and using the same actor but that's one of my favorite movies, it's just an awesome plot and great acting by him!

BONUS because I feel bad for being boring

I love you man - Ivan Reitman was an exec. producer (not exactly an actor I know, but I don't know anyone else from Stripes man hahaha)

That was the first movie I saw with Paul Rudd and I laughed my ass off way more than expected, I might watcg it again soon(ish)

Interesting tidbit, Bill Murray hated making that movie, and even hired a deaf mute as his personal assisstant to mess with the crew further.

Wow, didn't know he was so eccentric in real life, awesome story! Thanks for sharing

He's one of the most interesting actors alive, as far his eccentricities. He's been known to show up randomly at bars, and bartend. Strangers weddings, crash private karaoke rooms, etc etc. Hope to meet him someday.Preferably in some outrageous situation like he ends up bagging my groceries so the kid that was working could take a break.

I dont know why I know so much random trivia about bill murray, but the bartending incident. No matter what you ordered while he was bartending, you got tequila.

The Breakfast Club because John Hughes made some great 80s movies.

One of my all time favorite movies, it was the first movie I ever saw with a girl. Generally speaking though, all the brat pack movies were good.

PS, I strongly dislike the once a day rule.

The Day After - Steve Guttenberg
Really good tv-movie with two great actors, Jason Robards and John Lithgow, who's characters find themselves in the middle of a post-nuked north america.

Don Quixote - John Lithgow.
Well, Lithgow is a very talented actor and I suppose this is one his most well-known roles so that's why I chose this one. The man can pull off any role that is thrown at him, that is admirable.
