What are your favorite music genres?
We have a lot of metalheads here but I have a feeling that other will come on top somehow. :)

Ooh, good choices. You might like Tempest, with Lief Sorbye.

I don't think I have one. If I hear something I like, I enjoy it. I have favorites all the way from classical music to heavy metal and everything in between.

Everything except Garage Music. I don't listen to Reggae or to Death Metal/Black Metal or Classic Music as Beethoven, but love instrumental music overall. The rest I'll listen to anything that sounds good, has a good message, good lyrics, or makes me feel in a certain way.

Other: K-Pop and Powermetal. Yes, I know that's a weird combination xD

Mostly rock (although sometimes other genres too, of course, especially synthpop and trip hop).

I tend to get fixated on specific performers & bands rather than entire genres, because those rabbit holes are just too deep. As a result, I listen to a little bit of everything. Ooh, aren't I eclectic. Having said that, most of what I've stuck with over the years tends to fall into these categories:
Retrowave
Grunge
Thrash/Progressive Metal
New Wave (synth-pop, alternative dance, post-punk, and on and on)

my music mix right now is 80s and 90s rock and pop, 90s and 2000s trance, black metal, eurodance and folk music

What I'm listening to most currently is Savage Lands, Highly Suspect, Judas Priest, Extreme (not that shit new song though lol), Clutch, Cult of Luna, The Ocean Collective.
So definitely Rock & Metal.

Chiptunes and then trance. I also like most music to a degree, but I'm not a big fan of rap nor country. I have a few songs in those genres which I find funny or catchy, but those genres tend not to appeal to me for the most part. To each their own, of course.

Mostly listening to radio, so 'alternative' and pop, plus some classic rock (a moving target there). But I like swing, some older industrial, techno, electro swing, folk rock, almost anything danceable, some hip hop and rap, quite a lot of music from Rock Band games, Norwegian rock, and a scattering of most things that aren't reggae.
From the posts I've seen, I feel like a lot of people here might like some of the older Gåte music. (I haven't kept up.) Some would like Iselilja, others Sjaaren.(Norwegian band)

Not much else to say, just wondering. I'm curious about what the results will be.
