Is there a page where one can see "must play" games of past years

Hey,

I have a friend who has been out of gaming for quite some time, but he wants to return now. I made some obvious recommendations (like skryim, lol :D) but I definitely can't think of everything, so I wanted to know is there a site where coolest games are listed?

I know that sites like gamespot or IGN would be obvious, but I feel that you can't find best games of past years easily there, you can find all games for sure, but that's no what I wanted.

Meta critic is something close to what I'm looking for link, but it has no pictures of games :(

Yes, I can do that, but that is not what I'm looking for. Plus it's not just for 2015

randomly browsing steam should be ok, you can choose genre, order by user review, etc...
or he could casually use this http://store.steampowered.com/explore/

Cool, I knew about top games being played on steam, but never noticed that there is this option in games browser.

By the way, how do you navigate to browse all through steam, I really can't find it ^^
I get it how can I end up there, but is there a shortcut to browse all?

Yeah, I was entering any game name and pressing enter, then pressing "All games" in breadcrumbs, but your way is faster! :)

Hmm, it might be fun to go through my Steam library, trying a few of the best games from each year. But I'd probably give up and go back to Dark Souls or something...

Is it really that good? I have played DS1 and liked it, but I can't imagine playing it all the time ^^

Well, most people with a lot of playtime in Dark Souls are fooling around with the multiplayer stuff, since you can only do the single-player stuff so long before you've seen everything... :) I think it's a lot of fun, but it's not like some mmo where you can just play forever without being "done." :)
