Like GTAV, Evolve, people in China Mainland only need to pay for the half price of the game in US or other region.
So it seems that CN will become another RU.

You can't even trade it so what's the point?

It's better for buyers, but worse for sellers.

It's even cheaper than that for me.

BTW, could please someone from mainland China tell how is Steam there? Is it affected by the Great Firewall somehow?

Well, I know it works in China, I was asking more about, for example, if the download speed is affected and so on.

The download speed of steam games doesn't has any problem. But bad ping for online games. And some people even can't download ANY game through Origin. So VPN has become a very important tool.
BTW, most of the people doesn't know steam, CSGO, but CS1.6 and CS Online. F2P games are everywhere, Cross Fire, for example.
DOTA2 and Call of Duty Online are also popular, but I think few people know TF2.
If someone loves steam games, he/she has very likely known how to use VPN.

Oh i remember that crossfire something, it do appear on VN too, i wonder does it dead on our country yet . the last time i hear , it player base drop significantly

Origin works just fine here, stop spreading FUD. There are several TF2 servers nearby in HK, you may have bad ping if you are in Dongbei or whatever.

VPN is absolutely NOT required for STEAM or nearly any online gaming except MMO's which block mainlanders.

Most of the world won't care about how much Chinese pay for CS:GO, it'2 $3.75 to $5.00 USD every single sale featuring Valve games, on multiple sites, throughout the year.

I'll personally care more about Valve's region pricing policies here in China when they start accepting RMB. We have to pay in USD anyway.

+1 Origin, Uplay, Steam don't have problem.
The main problem i have here (gaming-wise) is internet speed not being constant therefore often loosing connection in middle of games.

Origin Error 4302
Some people have, but not all.
The problems are different across the whole country.
I am in Hangzhou now. To get 50 ping or lower(BF3), I have to use VPN. Without it, it will be at least 80(usually above 100). And when it's evening, even VPN doesn't help.
You may don't have these problems. But why are so many people using it now?

CS:GO was just on sale for half price in the US over the weekend.

It's same in China. Some people brought many to sell. Usually they can sell 65RMB(around $10) for each, but now... I feel very lucky that I'm not a part of them.

Well it's not so tragic, if they bought with the old price they should have old sub-id -> row csgo.

Maybe you're right. Just like GTAV. That morning I got the information that the price had been change into $30. But I hadn't brought it...And as the sub-id changed, the 58504 is now worth 265RMB(around $42.3)

Yup, agreed. But I don't like it. For example, it shows You that You need to get 10 more wins to reach Silver 1, but doesn't show You how many You need for Silver 3. I also don't like snipers. They run around the map and camp everywhere. So unrealistic :P

Unrealistic ..:D lol ,you know that sniper need to stay bulletproof ? You cannot run with sniper. In real war everyone is camping with ak or awp.. (no one runs with gun shooting around like hero..only fool do that.) I think you need to go army to get that :D

I actually need to go to army in 3-12 years, unless I get really fat or get some other mental or physical problem. Yes, people camp in real war, but I just don't like it in the game. If snipers would be removed, I'd maybe even play it.

Don't worry. I have 287 hours in it and I'm not even a silver I. I bought it, played a bit of casual, some comp matches, completed some mission craps and then started idling. I've been idling for like 240 hours :P
