Do you have any phobias?
It's one of the few fears that I have too. The Vast Ocean! Being left like in the middle of it, surrounded only by water like half of the earth around you. What about when the night comes?
And below you? I don't want to think about it, it's the abyss!
A concept music album with every track dedicated to a specific depth zone of the ocean.
(From a band with the name... The Ocean!)
Like sinking into it:

Exactly. You completely understand. I don't know why so few people mention the abyss when asked about things they're afraid of. ): Demersal: Cognitive Dissonance is just scary; I can picture myself sinking and sinking deeper into the dark abyss. @~@

The album is transferring very successful the feeling of sinking deeper and deeper, with each track being more heavy and doom. A classic without doubt.

I don't have a "biggest fear" but when I was a lot younger I used to see/imagine seeing a baby-sized old man crawling and sometimes only his shadow on the walls and that was pretty scary.. It was before that "I see dead people" movie :v
I still don't know how the fuck was I able to see such thing and why was I seeing it ._.
I guess I have a really strong/weird imagination...

Eisoptrophobia.
Being a dracula kind of vampire would so solve this problem, lawl!
Nah, seriously though i wonder if there's a sub-class of "Eiso" that is just about face's, because 7 times out of 10, seeing my own face and eyes in the mirror scares the crap out of me...
...Inb4 jokes implying my face is ugly.
I do have a weird kind of phobia though, or two actually: The first being the fear of this just being me in a coma and one day i wake up, still around 8 years old and still at some absolutely awful orphanage. The second phobia being a fear of immortality. Yea. I'm a bit like Rincewind (Discworld) when it comes to near-death situations, though with more hurt, less margins and not nearly as funny.
...i should probably stop talking now, lel.

My biggest fear is sorta special I guess but it is more like the contrary of dying : it's living forever. Infinity scare me just by thinking about it, just imagine being a conscious entity, even a ghost and having to stay there for ever and ever and ever, till nothing because it never ends.
You can kill yourself because nothing can kill you and you're forced exist, everything die around you, once you've seen it all, you get bored and there's nothing you can do about it.
Of course at first it sounds cool, you live like 10,000 years and see stuff happening but then ? After 100,000,000 years ? And then again ? You can grow the number beyond imagination since you're living forever !
It also applies to places, imagine being trapped in the middle of an infinite tower, you can only climb the spiral stairs up, down or stay where you are but whatever you're doing, it leads you nowhere since it never ends. You can climb it for years, you'll still be climbing the same stairs without being able to ever reach the top.
It might sounds stupid but that shit bugs me more than everyting else.

What you said reminded me a lot something that I watched 3 years ago. I am sure that you are going to identify yourself a lot with this video:
And as an epilogue to this, a link that I posted earlier again in this thread:

Yeah exactly, thanks for sharing, that was interesting !
Living eternaly makes life pointless, it's like playing the same game again and again after you finished it all. When we finish a game we do something else, it could be playing another game but what's important is to come to an end or at least not being trapped in something neverending.
I totally agree with the vision of an eternity in paradise being hell for me that's why I don't fear death but that doesn't mean I don't have primal survival instinct. I do check both sides of the road before crossing it !

Survival Instinct is what brought us here, even if we are not fond of such an eternity it doesn't mean that we are not fond of the fact that we are alive :)
Since death is one of the most common fears, "eternal life" is something that all religions are taking advantage of. I don't believe in the afterlife of course, but I do believe in life before death! The meaning of life is to give life meaning!

Man, I had the same idea about the meaning of life^^ if there wasn't life there would be nothing, an empty universe that couldn't be seen, felt or anything, the meaning of life is to live it.
I think religions took advantage of the fear, not of death by itself but the fear of the unknown, what happens next ? It's sad that such a fear led humanity into spending their life preparing their death for centuries.
I don't know if there's an afterlife but I'm quite open minded about it, I heard tons of stuff about it (people seeing their bodies from the ceiling, the white light, a warm feeling of peace and even dead familly member visiting) and I like to believe in reincarnation. That makes me happy, i would feel like going to play another game after finishing the one I was on and after all what I think doesn't matter since whatever it is, it will happens anyway :p

I don't think it's wise to share your worst fears or your weak points with anyone. I'm keeping that to myself ;)

Stray dogs are not dangerous in most cases, they have get used the presence of people a lot. Most of them are friendly. It is usually dogs with owners, especially those that are kept in a place all of the time to guard it.

As many people in here already said, atychiphobia. It's not as big but I'm in a point in life where it haunts me from time to time.
Oh, and a fear of losing a friend.
Now that I think about it, I might as well add a fear of becoming an emotional vegetable. But is it a bad thing in the end? ;>
