It's not a that I'm especially angry (I'm actually just kind of disappointed with the second week bonuses...so far), but the decision to put in Populus is just freaking me out. Why Populus!? I think that game is even abandonware. I just don't see the strategy behind this choice, it confuses me.

abandonware has no legal relevance, and certainly nothing EA owns is abandoned they go after people offering fifa 1999 downloads allegedly, EA bought bullfrog long ago and popoulous is one of the many ip's they got so why not give it as a bonus

I think the reason they might not be added to the humble bundle, is because people are trying to sell them on ebay and shit.

These games will be a lot harder to sell on PC origin/steam after this, and they probably reconsidered giving away a big chunk of their library for a charity event.

i'd love DS2 and Bulletsorm, but i already got more than i could ask for...
i'm kinda on both sides on this; in one way, i just paid like 5 bucks and got a bunch of excellent titles, on the other way, it seems like another EA-dick-move to include DS1+3 but not 2 to force humble bundle buyers to buy it.
i'm pretty sure EA had anything but charity in mind when cooperating with humble bundle.

I don't get what is wrong with what he said. I do appreciate what they gave us in the bundle, yet i'm still disappointed they didn't bother to add dead space 2 when they gave us 1 and 3 they should of just gave us 1 and 2 instead in my opinion. Also, the way you said that makes it like he did something so bad when all he is doing is voicing his opinion. At least he isn't doing it like how most people are crying about how they want more games or, that there wasn't enough.

The whole point of the bundle was to get people to use Origin, if they had put Dead Space 2 instead of 3, everyone that bought it below the average wouldn't be encouraged to create an origin account.

Granted, there's a few people having a tantrum at EA like EA promised them something, but the vast majority are simply saying "Huh, this is odd compared to previous bundles."

Yeah, I'm also grateful for the games... but Populous? Like... really?

I think they should have put Bulletstorm instead of Red Alert 3 and Populous, I already have the game, but it's sad to see the devs saying that it wouldn't be safe to make a sequel because of the small fanbase. I think putting it as a bonus would get people interested in the plot and even make the sequel possible... By the way, the ending is a giant cliffhanger and doesn't feel conclusive at all.

Populous was a big surprise addition. In my opinion it was a decent move. Most people would have played things like command and conquer, dead space etc as they are newer games, and common. While the original Populous is a classic, and something a little different.

Don't get too hopeful, but the combination of the leaked list and the release of the bonus games on a Thursday seem to point to more bonus games on the way. It would make sense, since Origin's been having key redemption problems, and needs to lessen the server load :P

Yeah i'm guessing they might release another bonus after a day or two because of it. I was lucky enough to have downloaded all the games i wanted to put in origin that I got from the bundle. My friends, however had to wait an hour or two since the servers were going through maintenance I think. At least now, people can download their games, activate them and then maybe, they will add another game.
Also I was surprised they put populous I didn't think they would put that in there but, I might try it if its good

I had the exact same thought when I saw the symetry of the page. There could be 2 more bonus titles to make it 6 and 6... Who knows. The THQ bundle surprised us with the second bonus. This might too...

Yet there are 3 rumored games missing from the image from the Steam database, so you can't use both the SteamDB entry and "symmetry" as an argument, take your pick.
SteamDB seems like a way more substantial argument to me, but even with that Im not expecting more games to be added.
