At least it's not like you've never won anything. One fake but 11 wins is still a good ratio.

Very true. Also, annoying to have the green bar when you are waiting for a reroll - always get excited only to realize it's just the "Your giveaway has ended" message :P

Maybe he will surprise you?
Live and learn. You've won a nice pile of games on here already, so even if the very worst happens and the creator doesn't own the game, your time here hasn't been an unmitigated disappointment.
Onward and upward :)

Also, sounds like you added him (likely how you know he doesn't speak English).
I find it rude to add people people after winning their giveaways. It is more respectful of their space, and a sign of trust in their honor to just be patient and wait for them to send the gift either through Steam or by email. Adding smacks of mistrust, impatience, and entitlement.

"I find it rude to add people people after winning their giveaways"
Very much this. Some people are intent on grabbing rather than waiting for good things to come their way.
EDIT: Your "rant" may be unrelated, but it doesn't make it any less true ;)

So after I opened steamgifts today I found a shiny green message stating that I won a giveaway. I won Home, something I have entered for countless times, yay! Finally a win after all those months of entering a few thousand giveaways. But, when I inspected the person who created the giveaway, I find myself confronted with someone who:
1) does not speak English
2) already made a Home giveaway in the past but had that deleted because "The User Did Not Understood the Concept of The Site"
3) has almost only free games on his account (and doesnt have Home)
4) has 0.0 playing time in the last two weeks
5) had a username "anyone buy me magicka plz" in the past
So, with 99% certainty I can say that he isnt going to give me the game. I'm just feeling absolutely gutted right now, even though it's "just" a three dollar game (it's really the principle that matters to me). But who would have thought that a bundle game would be used for a fake giveaway? I always check the 3 copies of CoD (or something similar) but I just mass entered Home giveaways. Sigh.. I guess it's my fault for not painstakingly checking all giveaways.
/end rant
