Yes, thats not a problem, as any new member to kiva.org that registers through the link in the original posting will get a free $25 to lend to someone. That $25 loan is all that is required to be admitted into the site.

I lent $25 for Phy's Group, they were almost fully funded so i've completed the loan.
That is a very nice idea, I love this kind of project for humanitarian aid. Thank you.

Besides, your last link "Steam Group" leads to an error page.

The new one is the one that counts, as past loans can not be applied to a new group. Thanks for doing this. Invite sent. Cheers

invite sent. Cheers buddy, and nice choice for your loan. I just ask that from now on, people message me their Steam profile link and Kiva portfolio link on the MvukeUnity Kiva team page. Thanks again for doing this

I don't get it, I lend my 25$ to the Faraja Group because that was the group that showed up after I registered. Was it the wrong group?
Comment has been collapsed.
Hmmm, message me your Kiva portfolio on the MvukeUnity Kiva team page. It has happened before, lending and it not being applied to the group. Just send your kiva portfolio link. It doesn't really matter if its not applied to the group, just that you actually made the loan. The team just makes it a whole lot easier to track loans. Cheers buddy

Just loan with the free $25 as your first. After that, when you're feeling wealthy, you can do another with your own money. :P

So the first wave of giveaways continues. Up today is Mad Riders
messengerback already has won Portal 2. Cheers

Yes, very. I can explain more when i get off of work. But Kiva.org has been around for a while, and have fine tuned they way they do things. They have a presence in the press, and I'm sure they're better at explaining it. (the mainstream press)

I'm glad I saw this! I've heard of micro loans (which is basically what this is) in other countries, and they really help so much! I'll be signing up and finding someone for the initial 25$ and will probably loan more money as I can. I was wondering about micro loans when I first head of them in my sociology class, but I never did look into finding some. :\
I'll post when I've found someone to loan to and so on. Thanks for sharing. :)

Okay, lent to http://www.kiva.org/lend/467664
Thanks for sharing this site, I'll be doing the same. As well as loaning to others when I can. :)

Another giveaway for the MvukeUnity group members, today: Spec Ops: The Line Cheers and thank you members. I might also try a system to reward people who recruit to the team. Any ideas for that?

ERMAHGERD HAI BARDSLEY!
I've already posted on the MvukeUnity team page, but I figured I'd just leave this.
I've lent $50 total, $25 to these nice folks, and $25 to this farmer. This means I get into both the normal group and the "speshul" group, right?
Side note: I really like the idea, I just hope that it's legit.

Awesome buddy, that's great. Yes, there will be a system instituted to reward people who lend more than the initial amount, but the splits won't happen until 100 members join. And yeah, Kiva.org is as legit as it gets, and the MvukeUnity group is also legit. There has been six giveaways so far...valued at like $200 or so...
Comment has been collapsed.
invite sent. Thats it. Thats all you need to do. And thats awesome that youre gonna get others involved. The system hasnt been worked out yet, but there will be a system to reward people who get others to join MvukeUnity. It just needs to be worked out to ensure people don't abuse it. You all seem like good people, but in the future, I could see some people abusing it. Anyways, thanks for doing this.

The MvukeUnity giveaway onslaught continues...Vitual Tennis 4 going on right now along with Spec Ops: The Line, and Crusader Kings II and Mirror's Edge coming soon.

Hey, i lent that free 25$ to http://www.kiva.org/lend/462335 . Can you send me an invite?
So who is giving that free 25$ loans? Your group or somebody else?
Edit: Also if i invite a friend and get another free 25$, I'll be invited into that special group, since it's more than initial 25$?
Comment has been collapsed.
invite sent. The free 25 dollar bonus that you get comes from a variety of people who support Kiva.org. One person is a Kiva.org board member, another is an author, and there are more.
And your question pertaining to the special group: the system for that has not yet been finalized, as there needs to be a way to check for scamming. Splitting of people into groups won't occur until at least 100 members.
Thanks for joining though. It's really cool you, and everyone else, did that. Cheers

Hello everyone, I created a group called MvukeUnity on Steam that is committed to giving away a whole lot of games to people if they sign up on Kiva.org and join the MvukeUnity Kiva team.
By signing up, you are given a free bonus of $25 to lend to people in third world countries that need help. This is risk free, as all you need to do is sign up through the MvukeUnity team recruitment link. Anonymous and pseudonyms are also allowed. And you do not need to spend any money, as this bonus is for any new member that joins through the link.
By doing this, you are then allowed entery into the MvukeUnity Steam group that posts giveaways all the time. Like a lot of games are given away in this group, and not just by me.
Once you join Kiva through the link above, message me your Steam profile and you Kiva portfolio on the MvukeUnity Kiva team page, and I will then invite you into the group.
I have a large stockpile of games to giveaway on my Steam profile inventory, as well as many more keys to games (such as borderlands GOTY, bioshock 1&2, spec ops: the line, the darkness 2, and more) on my amazon game inventory. I also have a very large stockpile of bundle game keys too. All of these games are designated for the MvukeUnity Steam group. Giveaways posted already in the past week:
Portal 2, Mad Riders, Mount & Blade Collection, Virtual Tennis 4, Spec Ops: The Line, Crusader Kings II, Mirror's Edge, Alien Hallway, Just Cause.
Membership to the MvukeUnity Steam group is already up to 80 or so people. And thanks to these initial members, the MvukeUnity Kiva team has facilitated over $4000 in new loans to people who need it. An amazing amount considering that the team went "live" only days ago.

UPDATE: All new users to Kiva.org who sign up through the Kiva.org team page link above will get a free $25 to lend on the site as a bonus. This is all that is necessary to be admitted into the group, just make sure it is through the MvukeUnity Kiva.org team so that it can be tracked and verified.
NEWER UPDATE: In order to streamline the process and help with verifying whether people loaned or not, please post your Steam profile and Kiva portfolio on the MvukeUnity Kiva team page. The link to the team page is below. Thank you. It makes it even easier if you post here too. But that is superfluous.
This was all created on paper, and so there is bound to be some hiccups, so that's why I am posting on the forums. To gauge interest and also to hear from everyone. Something sound wrong or is all good?
More info here: Blogger Info Blog . And here: Kiva Team HQ . And here: Steam Group .
If you have anymore questions, just let me know. I hope this whole idea works.
Cheers,
Bardsley
