What is wrong with Steam?

I could not view some games in the shop... glad I only had this in my browser, so I tried to purchase a game with the steam client. Got it into the cart but it stopped working when I tried to purchase with PayPal, it always returned to ask me how I want to pay.

So I logged out, from both, browser and steam client... and guess what: I can't login anymore. Same problem with my wifes account on another machine... crazy stuff happens with steam since days...

Steam is totally down I think. I just restarted Steam and can't even logon anymore. Not sure what's up with Steam, but since the last 2 weeks it's getting from bad to worse >:(

Nah, Gaben's actually Satan in disguise for failing us during these dark moments, and we should storm valve HQ and burn it down to the ground, while cackling and hauling HL3 signs all over them.

OUCH, that sucks (didn't know EU has iron man, or are you referring to Eu4?). Good thing I was not playing XCOM in iron man mode the moment the connection dropped.

I played EU4 as Saxonia and try to get the early Reich achievement, and ironman mode is the only way to get achievements at all. I just need to diplo-annex Mecklenburg and Thuringia. Then I only need to conquer Lüneburg (easy) and Nürnberg (this will be hard as fuck). But since Steam is down I can't resume the game.

Yeah, it went offline for me too, so I restarted Steam and now I can't log back in... My friend is playing in a Dota2 Tour and I wanted to watch that! -_-

It's been shitty since the DDOS. Steam was pretty stable, even during the sale, until that. Try to forgive them, yeah? It may have left lasting problems.
