Thank you for your support! And by the way the PSN version of the game has online map sharing feature that will be compatible with the Steam version :)

I really don't like the idea of using the pull of a free Steam key in order to garner more votes for a game. The idea of the Greenlight process is that games that people want should get Greenlit, not games that can manage promotional gimmicks to garner clicks.
If you want this game and actually want to play it, vote for it and by all means join the group.
If you don't actually want to play this game, please don't join the group and vote for it out of some collector's compulsion. Vote No.
That's how the Greenlight process should work.

even though I agree with in some way,the devs have every right to do such promotions, there isnt any rules that says they cant. Also not trying to disappoint you but its always the most overhyped games that get through greenlight. It doesnt really matter if the devs are promising free keys or not, its just the way it seems to be going unfortunatly..
is it a good thing? not really, but unless a big redo of the GL comes in, im not sure how things would be much different
also asking people not to vote is not something that would make much of a difference since many ppl will click on yes without even thinking, I think everybody have the right to decide if they want to support the devs or not. Leave the judgement to them

Something being allowed by whatever rules are in place in a system doesn't automatically make it right, or constructive, or healthy for that system. Certainly it doesn't create a debate-free shield around the mattet.

cant see much difference between this and for example website/facebook/media promotion
as long as they dont break Valve rules, they cannot be taken down. As much as i might sound like the devil"s lawyer, this is the way things work

I love the devil's lawyer role! :)
I'm just saying we can always debate what's right or wrong, what's good or bad and so on, despite what the rules say and despite the chance of "taking down" somothing or someone. Do you know what I mean?

Any method of assessing value or merit that is based on open, free voting is inherently flawed and will be exploited. Greenlight is no exception, and Valve knows. So while it's there, people might as well just score a free game.
A Kickstarter-like model (with much lower financial requirements) would probably make more sense, although it would introduce different sets of issues.

it would reduce the number of votes and would probably make the whole gl fall apart. Kickstart and greenlight are two different things, one involving financial support while the other one is based on solemly on people interest. Why do you think many people would be inclined to chip in to basically an idea with no guarantee the premises would be realised in the final product?
No, just no, it would have the same backfire as the early acces and its definitely not needed

Well, what you described ("to chip in to basically an idea with no guarantee...") is basically Kickstarter, not Greenlight, and many people still do chip in. Games on Greenlight already exist, they're not an idea. They're often playable and even sold on Desura or DRM-free by the developer.
What I had in mind is more like a very, very small pre-order payment (like 10 or 20 cents) that one could use at any time, even during sales for that game. This would tackle the issue of mindless voting on Greenlight, because it would introduce a commitment element that now is completely lacking. I never thought this would be a perfect model. It's just that sometimes money needs to be involved to make people think about what they are doing! :)

It's not yet on Vita, but we're thinking about it :) If it is released on Vita we'll defenitely make it compatible with PS3 and Steam version :)

Actually, our other game Paranormal State was greelit with a similar promotion and we defenitely want to deliver codes to players as soon as the game is available. We plan on creating a special page where you can obtain your code (verification based on the list of members of the group). In case of Paranormal State the team is still implementing Steam features but we hope to release the game and free codes soon!
