Hey guys,
steamgifts says Red Orchestra 2 "Exists in Your Account" while it definetively doesn't.
But i recently played it a few minutes on that free weekend...
Is this a bug, is it already known or am i just doing it wrong?

But since the game shows up on the profile game list even after the free weekend, it will eventually be synced =/

That's no the problem, the game is automatically added to your library and doesn't leave.

Steam recently changed, and now leaves free weekend games on your account if you decided to play them. This means we have an issue, since as far as I know, it's impossible for outside sources to tell whether or not you own the game. We'll try to find a solution soon.

I didn't install Worms Reloaded during the free weekend and it still shows in my profile game list =/

It'll still show up in your library, though. People can't just wait to sync until after the free weekend is over anymore.

It's not in my library, or on my account details page. It's only on in my profile games list.

i noticed it doesn't show up in the html but does in the xml. at least for me with worms reloaded, which i played for about an hour when it was free. based on the order of the xml i assume it'll disappear after two weeks pass since i played it and it drops off my recently played list.

So I guess that means it's now trivial to satisfy the >$50 games on your steam account requirement? I.e. After 2 or 3 free weekends everyone will have at least $50 worth of games showing up!

And it would be unfair to automatically exclude games that have had a free weekend from the total value of a Steam account because, someone may have legitimately bought Worms Reloaded, Red Orchestra 2, Serious Sam 3, MW3 etc.

I had the same problem with worms! All i had to do was to restart my steam then resync! Not sure if this is the right way to do it,but it worked for me!

Yes, Red Orchestra 2 clung to my account for 5 days after free weekend, but eventually disappeared after sixth or so synch.

I have this problem too with Worms Reloaded, never played it but yeah it's in my inventory now and I can't enter Worms giveaways, such a sad story for me. :'(

You need to know what inventory and library means. You can enter giveaways if you have them in the inventory

I'm not sure what the inventory is but I have Worms Reloaded on my Steam profile games list even though I don't have it in my library and I've never installed it. Because of this, I can't enter any giveaways for it. It sucks because this is the game I want the most from my wishlist =(

if you synced or allowed sg to automatically sync your library I guess you are doomed

that's why I don't try free weekends anymore

you should try uninstalling the game and then syncing. However, I am not sure if it may work ;)

How can he uninstall if he doesn't have the game in the first place? Worms shows up in my games list in profile (even though I didn't play on the free weekend) but not in my library.

Worms Reloaded was on my profile too, even though I never installed it. It didn't show up in my Steam client's library after the free weekend, but stayed on my profile until sometime last night or this morning. If you've still got this problem you should double check your library, and resync if it's finally gone.

Thanks CG for trying to solve this. Good luck!
