Buy X-Com Enemy Unknown pack as a gift

Hi People,

I've run into following Problem:
I want to buy The X-Com Enemy Unknown complete pack including the Base Game,Enemy Within, Elite Soldier Pack and the Slingshot Pack at a cost of 7,49€.
Since i already own the Base game, upon checkou i receive a notification that i wont get another copy of it as part of the purchase.
If i choose the option to buy it as a present will the game and packs be added to my Steaminventory and if so will they be added as the whole bundle or each pack seperately. Furthermore if thats the case can i redeem the expansions for myself and give The Base Game to friend???
