I installed my retail copy of Morrowind yesterday to test it, and frankly... I feels very dated. Yes, that sounds kind of obvious, but what I mean is that some things just aren't that fun anymore. Traveling the "dead" lands of Morrowind just isn't much fun to explore, and the combat, though not bad, is an awkward combination of real time + roll the dice. What I really don't like about it is that there's almost no feedback on a successful hit - I go swinging my dagger at the enemies and I have no idea if they are being hit or not (though there is a yellow box on the bottom far left of the screen that looks like the enemy's HP).

To it's credit, though, I really like the conversation system. To people who like to read it's interesting to click on key words to know more about them. And since I've made little progress in the game due to a crash, I might change my opinion on it later. Overall, though, I would recommend you people who have yet to play Morrowind to search a bit about it to know if it's really your kind of game.
