You say that social media links are not allowed on the discussion boards, but from reading the guidelines section on "user projects", it sounds like this should be allowed in the user projects section. I personally don't use facebook and have no interest in seeing these threads, but it seems like it should be allowed there based on the rules.

I don't know what the official stance of support is on facebook groups, but if it is allowed there, maybe it would be better to give the user a warning and move the thread to that section for them or ask them to move it.

Edit: I hope this doesn't sound rude, I didn't intend it to. I am just a bit confused about the rules for the new user project section as a lot of people probably are and was looking for some clarification.
