RECLAIM YOUR DIGITAL COPY

This page is dedicated to converting product keys for the retail versions of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games.

Here you can get a digital version of the game at Valve's Steam™ or GOG.com for free using a licensed key from the dvd-box.

This service was created to support users who bought our games on DVDs, as DVD-ROM's are becoming outdated, and new PCs often come without them. We want you to have good experience while playing our games.

Only S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games are due to converting, developed my GSC Game World and purchased from licesned distributors of GSC World Publishing.

Games list:
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat
Please enter GameSpy key (multiplayer) printed on the dvd-box into the field below."

If you get the steam key first you should then be ableto use the keys from steam to get the game on GOG as well

With steam code on gog I get "Code is invalid".
However, I got copy on gog and steam key from site in OP, using cd-key from disc.

That's because you don't use the steam key. You redeem the steam key on steam and then retrieve the cd-key from steam for use on one of these sites.

I tried both on gog: steam key and cd-key, which I got from steam. Result was "Code is invalid".
First cd-key, which I used to get steam key, worked on GOG fine.

This is old news, they started this almost a year ago.

If you bought any STALKER games on Steam long enough ago, those keys will also work to get a GOG copy. I bought all three on Steam a long time ago even though I have the original STALKER on disk. The disk key for my original STALKER I redeemed on GOG, and the keys from the Steam version of Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat also worked on GOG.

partially this is old news. but now for steam
and make sure there is only one link. but not from developers.

This isn't the first time you can redeem a game on Steam using your CD key from a retail boxed copy. There is a list of games here that can be activated on Steam from retail boxes.

Good move! I'd wish Valve would do that. I tried to claim my physical copy of the first Half Life, but someone duped the key or whatever. They expected me to have a receipt for a 10 year old game. :D

If you're reclaiming it directly on GOG, you must use capitals and hyphens.

Call me crazy but the idea of a PC without a DVD reader is annoying to me, I wouldn't pay 60$ for a download code, I want retail to still be a thing.
