Mark it as not received. He probably has his friends list set to offline.
Also, check his steam friends list. if you're not there, he blocked you.

I did mark it. And i can't check his friend list, it's private >.<

I check both of my emails 6 times a day. Trust me, i would know.

Also, he mentioned that the gift will be sent as a gift on steam.

He said "Will be sent as gift".
You can still send those via email. Like I said, that's how I like to do it. If you email the gift then the redeemer will automatically get added to your friends list, so they can message you to say thanks if they want or not if they don't. (Nearly all do)

Did you check your email? Maybe he sent it there?
If not, then I guess you have no choice but to mark the giveaway as unreceived.

Went to your won list, now I know who's the culprit.

Wait, this guy who DIDN'T get what he won could be suspended for being unhappy about it because someone can go to the poor guy's profile and see listed the recent won-but-didn't-receive? What happens to the guy who reneged?

It''s also seems pretty doubtful as he sent all the other gifts, there might be a misunderstanding of some sort or you missed something.

I checked emails, i messaged him, i go on steam every day, i'm pretty sure i didn't get the gift.

Btw, i'm the only one who didn't get a gift from his winners. 7 guys got their gifts, and i didn't.

That was my first win, too. I never did get it. Sometimes people set up giveaways for a long time then forget about the site and get busy with life and never check on it. It sucks, but it happens. Sorry it happened to you, dude.

I suppose... Thanks for the support though, i really appreciate it.

then I guess you took the hit for me too as I too wanted ARES. Not sure if I entered, was way over my CV that time or maybe I was too late to enter. I know is not too much of a conforting thing to say, but seems to be many SG users whom wanted Ares, entered and then were left empty. Sadly there arent more than 1 or 2 ARES giveaways, so we'll have to suck it up.. Sorry TheMadGameDude, I know this sucks.

But if i were to make a giveaway (Which i did) i would be sitting tight next to the pc and make sure the winner's gift will not be delayed.
Comment has been collapsed.
Lol, I usually laze around and unless the inner adds me himself I add him after about 4 - 5 days.
Comment has been collapsed.
Problem is, some givers get really aggro if you add them, so for winners it's a fine balance between being forward and possibly annoying, to being patient and possibly being viewed as not interested in the win.
Unless it states otherwise on the giveaway I usually wait for the giver to add me.

Simply mark it as not received. The giveaway creator has good feedback, so I'm assuming it was a mistake, and they'll contact you to sort it out in the near future.

Thanks!
But i noticed another funny fact. I just checked his profile again, and it says he was online 3 hours ago, but steam says he was not active for 31 days. Is that just a silly bug?

Personally I want to have a look at people's profiles before I hand over a gift to a winner, to make sure they didn't already have the game, and to make sure they've activated their previous wins. I'd say probably 95% of the profiles for SG users are public, so it always makes me wonder what's going on behind the curtains on the 5%. :D

Most likely lots of Bad Rats playtime. You can't share that with your friends.

Depends on you and you only. If I wish, I could kill my FB account, delete my email and I'd be gone... off the grid. Why? Because I don't put out my name and myself as much as people do. I respect my privacy and I'm not ashamed of it. Don't take me wrong, there is nothing wrong with people who like to be out in the world, connected with everyone they can. I just don't.

lol, i have a private profile, unless you add me, i got lots of spam messages one time after i poked a wasp nest in a multiplayer game of cod, so now all the random trolls cant troll my page, and that being said, i have had to block users from before i made my profile private, that would incessantly send me friends request and i had never seen their user name in any of my games before, now im not claiming to be a savant when it comes to remembering names of users. but if i dont even slightly recall seeing your name ever why the heck are you trying to add me without friends and groups in common: thats how i look at it.

My profile is hidden from people i don't want seeing it. But my friends can see it. Truth is, i'm not hiding anything. I'm not that special, and infact i will unhide it so you can see for yourself.

It's public now. Go on, have a look. You'll find nothing interesting.

I think the big problem here is what are we going to do about your anger issues?

? wtf..... I was referring to his username. Thanks for your input though

You can run steam without being logged into community. If you're not logged into community, your steam profile won't update the time you were last online, because you are offline. People who aren't interested in chatting people use this. If the only reason he has to chat people is to send them winning codes, then he likely doesn't log in automatically.

I know. But then, he would just be avoiding contact with me. As if he was drunk and make a giveaway with a game he doesn't have, then regret it.
Comment has been collapsed.
Just as an aside, you have some epic luck in developer giveaways! Are there any you haven't managed to win?
:D

Plenty xD
But the 3 giveaways i won in row in a week, was in my birthday. So that's funny =D

So i won: 'A.R.E.S: Complete edition' on steamgifts a week ago. The one who submitted the giveaway did not contact me in over a week. And i started to get worried because it never happened to me before, so i checked his steam profile, and it said that he wasn't online for over 30 days, and his profile is set to private. Now, just in case he comes online somehow, i added him to my friend list. The day after, i noticed he added me into the friend list, but it still said he was offline for 31 days. I checked his profile again and it was set to private from his friends too. I sent him some messages to remind him to sent the gift soon, but he didn't respond so far. What should i do? I really wanted to play the game D=
Update: HEY! He sent me a message saying that he sent the gift. Turns out, i have an old email i don't use anymore that i somehow used it for the account. I didn't think about it at all, so TheMadGameDude is just an idiot...Thanks for the support though =D
