Hello Everyone !

I write this theard to ask you what do you think about TeamSpeak for SteamGifts/SteamTrades/SteamGameSales .. ?

I mean when u need fast help from support or need fast "report" or need to talk , i think is good idea to add to SteamGifts teamspeak.

Bicouse sometime I or other users must wait day or some hr to answer from support .

You know write is write but when i write u can't understand all thinks what i try to say .

But When we talk ( using voice or only listen what man or woman say ) we can faster and better communication with others , supports and admins .

U know members of support can talk also its ( for me better talk with support and other peoples )

What do you think about this "Think" ?

  • Its Faster Communication

  • Can talk with friends or meet new friends

  • Can found private or open new group

  • Can found peoples to play with some games

  • Better and Faster communication with support/admins

  • Can Spend nice time ;)

Please write all mind what you think about it.

Yes you can voice chat with your friends on Steam, but the proposal would be a TeamSpeak 3 server, which is more open.

As far as I know, support is totally voluntary and they don't get anything other than the love of the community for doing it (correct me if I'm wrong). Using a system like this means people need to be about almost 24/7 in case someone needs to "fast report" someone.

Now, I don't think any members of support want to sit around all day in case they are needed for something. There are a LOT of problems with re-gifters, bundle-gifters, givaways needing re-rolls, accounts needing to be checked etc. Support do an awesome job keeping on top of things as it is.

I think if you want something just based around users being able to talk, go for it, but basing it around support isn't the right direction in my opinion.

Yeah, totally agreed, and honestly text chat via SG official group works well enough for me. Heh I think random SG users talk at the same time is asking for trouble =p.

well to be fair I havent seen SG chat go over 150 ppl,I dont think voice chat would need more than 200 slots.

Well if we get a teamspeak server the 1st rule should be that the only language you can use while on it are hand signs. :3

Sounds like a LOT of work to manage and maintain. I wonder how many people will abuse it not to mention how much more dedication from the admins would be needed.

Okay I'll just list the reasons why SG support TeamSpeak isn't that great of an idea.

  1. Fast Support? No. Moderators encourage people to create support tickets and wait when they (the moderators) have time to look at the ticket. Imagine moderators being told problems by different people every 2-3 minutes.
  2. It won't always be active with mods. The staff here also play games, work, study maybe, sleep, ect.
  3. Support tickets are also a nice way to document things. You can't really document things on TeamSpeak unless you're recording everything, and if you are...you shouldn't.

Mainly this. We need screenshots and various proof for various appeals. We also need more than one of us to check things out sometimes to come to a solution. That's why we don't resolve issues through steam and direct you to support tickets. We need to have things documented for future reference.

Also, if the questions on TS are the same as on the support tickets, I think everyone in the staff would go insane by having to answer "Why my value is wrong??" or "Fix my value" every 2-3 minutes.

Last but quite important, abuse. Considering the amount of people who either abuse support by creating tons of tickets or verbally abuse support repeatedly, TS would make a nasty environment if they decided to "invade".

Shame that this won't happen. I heard from confident sources that your voice is sexier than erotica written in Braille

great idea, safe for the teamspeak. Just use mumble, its libre and allows you to host your own server without restrictions.

Uh, what?

BTW, there's a chat (with text) which gets you answers in seconds.

A support chat isn't a good idea, as already mentioned here. Nevertheless I think that a regular SG server might be nice though.
