Do you pirate games?
I know! But I could never be assed as a kid since I was a console baby. Moved onto WoW as a teen and I just left it last year so I didn't really need to pirate.

Mhmm. I prefer physical and only came on board with digital for pc/psn games.

Question was about last pirated game. And just because you don't play by the rules doesn't mean everyone else behaves that way as well.
And on a second note (much more important), it's one thing not believing what someone said, but calling them a liar without any proof or even the slightest hint is something completely other!

"Never pirated a game" was all he said. How is it relevant whether or not he ever downloaded music? Why are you reacting so strongly to him saying that he never pirated a game? And on what grounds would you report Klinge for replying to your comment?

You're the kind of person we don't need here. Calling people liars, threatening etc.
Maybe you think you're funny but you're not.

Feel free to report me for whatever reason you see fit.
It's disturbing me to see such a behavior in this community I really love and spend so much time. And yes, I feel obliged to point this out as I had hoped you might rethink your course of action. And surely I will voice my opinion freely in this forum just as you, yet I try to do so in a polite way!

Do DLCs count? If yes, then the last was the three DLCs for Skyrim. If not, then I don't really remember- it was a long time ago.

Oh hey, I remember that game. I can't recall if I ever played it, though.
There are a few ancient indie titles I've wanted to revisit, but even if someone is able to get a hold of the dev the response is usually "I barely remember making that, maybe you can pirate it somewhere?" when that's usually not even the case. What a shame.

Half-Life for Dreamcast.
The game was complete/near complete and was cancelled at the last minute--right after Sega announced it would be discontinuing the Dreamcast.
Load times were abominable, and the perspective was wonky. Now that I think about it, I bet somebody's uploaded footage to youtube.

Imo it is not even worth the pirate lol
I never got the appeal of that Mario i never liked him being 3D

Every game that isn't available in my country for buying, activation and / or running or that is cencored way too much.

Games get censored in India too. Fallout 3 and New Vegas were banned InIndia because they contained a cow called Brahmin. Dragon Age Inquisition got banned because it has sences which dipict homosexuality and gay sex is illegal in India..

The Beginner's Guide. Happened like a month ago, it was really short so I didn't feel like spending money on it. Other than that, it has been quite a while since I pirated any game.

I think it was FTL and after that I may have tried something for like 20min before buying it ;p

It has been many a year since I've felt the need to pirate anything, but I think it may have been Skyrim LE.

Played 200h pirated then bought it and sitting on 170h currently. I tent to do that with most AAA games because reasons @_@

There really should be a "I do not currently pirate games" option. I used to (in the form of getting them via my parents) but now that I'm able to earn my own money, I "can" buy games myself. Now, if you consider emulators, I do. I don't necessarily think emulating games without owning said games is as bad since most consoles + games aren't on the market and are considerably hard to get.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, I should have added that option. As for ROMs, I'll count them as abandonware
Comment has been collapsed.
Well ROM are still consider piracy,as someone owns the rights to it,Abandonware just means that the product, typically software, ignored by its owner and manufacture, and usually no support is given for it,but it still and most likely will have copyrights.
I think a lot assume Abandonware means it is free or no longer under copyright, which in some cases it is,but in most cases it still have copyright.
Though for the most part i never heard of anyone in a long time ever being arrested and charged for using or downloading roms,i suspect in most cases it because it not worth the effort or time and no real sales lost since the product would not be in production.Though there is still a risk they could.I think the most they would enforce is you trying to sell the games/sell them as your own/use assets from roms and so on.
In the end i think to many imo relate piracy as having to lead to some sort of lost sale, when really piracy in this case is about violating someones copyright more then about lost sale, but pirates love to ride the lost sales thing to some how validate what they are doing is right or some how justify them doing it and gives them some sort of free pass.
Anyhow that just how i feel,i think most whoever gamed on the pc has most likely pirated something at one time, and may have been a a part of it without knowing they did, like playing a friends game that may have been pirated.

South Park: Stick of Truth almost exactly two years ago. I was jobless for a year by then. The funny thing is, I still didn't get it since then, but mostly because I have enough in my backlog to not want to replay a cRPG in the near future, especially one with achievements. I'll get around it eventually.

I live in a country where people whom can earn 500 USD/month will be considered a well-income guys !
But we have to pay the same price with US Steam's user !
So I always pirated a game first. If that game make me happy, I will buy it on Steam when It have a deal more than 66% !
Sorry for my English !
Comment has been collapsed.
OK first of all you don't need to apology for not being good at a language which is not even your first language. Plus your English isn't even that bad! As for the issue in developing countries, I am totally sympathetic to that! Steam recently introduced Indian prices and thanks to that I have to pay half of what I used to! During the winter sale Elite Dangerous was on sale for less than $2. Hope you too get prices for your region soon!

Gaming is a luxury, it's not a necessity for living. But I understand seriousnoble totally.

Indeed, Steam sort my country to SEA region, but the price still show as USD, with no difference about number when compare to US's user. Here is my screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/onxq7ax.jpg !
If you guys do not check my profile and just see this screenshot, I bet you guys will think me came from US :D

While i do see where you are coming from,if 500 US makes you well off,i wish i could say the same but 500 US in the US is well not even close to living off on,not without some sort of aid or living with others.
I am just saying i wish that was the case here,my life would be a lot better, not that it is really shit but it would be nice if 500 a month was a lot here in the U.S.,though depending on your wage,in some places you will still have to work a full 8 hours to just buy a game at 59.99 if not more.Gaming in the U.S. is not as cheap as some think, but it is not the worse.
Though i have pirated, now i do not feel the need to,and if i did i would feel weird about it,giving how cheap digital games are and with bundles, and sales,i guess i just see it as price not being a huge issue, but i still hate DRM and wish all things where on GOG

In my country, 500$ can provide enough for a family with 4 members: a husband, a wive and 2 children. 3 meal a day (breakfast, lunch, dinner), all the children go to shool, pay the bills (electricity, water, insurance ...), have 1 tourism each year (of course tourism in my own country) ...
I never lived in US, but in my country, 500$ is a lot. So spent 60$ for an AAA game is a luxury pleasure I can't afford right now !
Comment has been collapsed.
I think Evil may be trying to say, keep in mind that there's no way to directly convert economic factors between two countries.
For example, your $500usd may be able to buy $2500usd worth of stuff, but for that same amount of effort you put in earning that $500usd, an American might only earn $1500.
since utilities, food costs, etc are a static base, that means the disposable income of a lower-class American may actually be comparable to your own.
Though paying $60 for a game is insane enough here, without assuming an actual functional value of $300. so definitely not arguing against your point. :P
tl;dr version: New AAA games are too expensive for any but the very well off, regardless of nation, to casually buy.

So what was the name of the last game you ever pirated and Why?
I ressntly had to pirate a copy for Mass Effect 3. I bought a key, activated it in Origin, next day the game was gone! Origin support was just painful. They kept me bouncing back and forth from EA help to Accounts Help! After a month I just gave up!
