It does say what you have to do to complete the badge.

Nominate at least 1 game
Play a game you nominated
Nominate a game in each category
Review or update your review of a game you nominated

I think it's the same as last year, which started on 23 november.

The "Defies description" is not working?

I like how the first one I tried to nominate is the 'Defies Description' one, which seems to be the only one that's broken -.-

fix for the broken category

Go to the Store page of the game you want to nominate.
Right-click the page and click Inspect element or press Ctrl-Shift-J.
Make sure the Console tab is selected, and paste in $J.post( 'http://store.steampowered.com/promotion/nominategame', { sessionid: g_sessionID, appid: window.location.toString().split("/")[4], categoryid: 9, writein: "" } ).done( function( ) { history.go(0); });

Will this be everyday task (mean we vote different games everyday) or only once during duration (22 - 28) ?
If i remember correctly, last year we vote different category each day.

"Defies Description" is now fixed and can be filled to obtain the full badge.

Can't make it see that I already played a game I nominated. "Play a game you nominated" is still grey. Why?

It's not dropping cards for me. The site said I earned 35 cards after looking through the list, but no new card in my inventory.

For who don't know, if you have a review to an old game, just edit and save that, play it for 1 second, and nominate it then you already got 3.
