If by "More Disney stuff, like Rescue Rangers" you mean the NES games then you'll be happy to know they are going to be released later this month:

Like WiiU will be on the trash heap. The games could probably be ported to the switch. The vita games maybe could work as arcade games on the PS4 maybe.

Nothing dead about it at all just they dont release new VITA games anymore, heck I could even go/buy/play PS4 games if I wanted. Also don't forget the ability as an Emulation Station. I have all my nostalgia things like C64, MSX, 2600, GB, NES, SNES, PSX etc. RIGHT HERE IN MY EFFING POCKET ALL THE TIME.
You may call it dead, but for some people it's still an alive hot and juicy piece.

There are too many great games out there... How about Harvest Moon games, or for a bit newer, Red Dead Redemption? RDR is one of the only games where I really really enjoyed multiplayer, and got everything possible in the game. Played it well after all the cheevos and titles were gotten.

I think Monster Hunter managed to become so polished because it didn't need to keep up with modern home console (discounting Wii/U) or PC graphics. But it feels like it's at the end now, and they're just piling in more gimmicks and flashiness to "release a new Monster Hunter". The franchise started out as one of the least flashy games out there among action combat games, but was really satisfying.
I think they'd do well to pull back and make a PS4 or PC game that brings what's great about the franchise and marries it to living, breathing, high fidelity environments and monsters.
But then, I was always a fan of weighty, satisfying combat. The way you swung and held the Greatsword in the original game, the way you inched forward with your lance but managed to maintain excellent mobility through positioning, the way you lifted your hammer to pound it down on some poor Wyvern's head at just the right moment. Even the bowguns - how you have to watch your ammo and aim quickly with to start propelling shots.
They've made various really good improvements over the years, like Guard Points for example, or the idea of applying oils to Sword and Shield (along with the new moves the weapon got). But they've also packed the game full of comedy and memes, and implemented potentially good weapons like the Insect Glaive terribly (I hate the animations for this weapon). In fact, some Long Sword weapons looked more like Glaives, and play better too!
Oh well, back on topic, a PC Monster Hunter would be great, haha.

We've had a lot of old console exclusive games being ported to PC nowadays, like old PlayStation Final Fantasies.
Which franchises you like are already "dead" enough (= not sold any longer/time has gone enough) to be revived on PC?
For example, can you imagine .hack or Mega Man X games coming to PC? Which franchises/games you'd like?
