Only DLC that is a must is Knoxx the others are totally forgettable or down right not worth it (I'm looking at you Moxxi).
Adding to this, knoxx adds new Vehicles along with a very fun "secret boss" also the story amazing.
I guess Neds is ok, but it's more of a Halloween DLC. Really feels out of place in borderlands, but I guess it's worth a play even if it's pretty short.

Moxxi's gameplay is not good. But having a bank for all your characters IS. So that makes Moxxi good.

So if I was to get one DLC it would be Knoxx I am guessing? Thanks for the info.

You should get all of them. Every DLC has something that makes it interesting : Ned has a boss that you have to defeat twice in a row, Moxxi has a bank feature, Knoxx has a secret boss with the most rare weapons in the game and lots of fun dialogues and Claptrap Revolution has simply some weird-looking devices over your known enemies and bosses.

Well, the DLC just allows you to have more fun in the case you're already enjoying Borderlands. It extends the game beyond what you can do in the base game, raises the level caps, essentially gives the game more length. And, the DLC is just an extra 2.50, you're bound to spend more than you wanted to in the summer sale anyways.

Actually, the GOTY edition with all DLC is same price as Borderlands. Just scroll down the page in the steam store

The only DLC that is worth getting is The Secret Armory of General Knoxx, which not only increases the level cap to 69, but is also a much harder area in an otherwise relatively easy game.

Claptrap's Robolution is great too. It also builds up on facts from the base game that were not yet explained.

I had the base game and all DLC for 360, and I'd say the GOTY is SO worth it. The best wast General Knoxx.

Yes, absolutely. 2.50 extra for the GOTY is an absolute steal. If you wanted Borderlands, absolutely get the GOTY.

I'm confused... I only see the GotY edition. No normal edition.

Oh, okay, the link on the front page leads to here instead. But why would you ever get the normal version? It costs exactly the same price.

I'll defend Moxxi. I played Borderlands on Xbox with the DLC and it was great. I'm not going to buy it again on PC no matter how cheap, but sometimes I'm sitting here and I think how nice it would be to load up the dome and survive some waves to kill time.

Zombie Island of Dr. Ned: Worth it
Mad Moxxi's: Fuck no unless you like 4-man arena fighting with unfair rules (die and go back TWO rounds) and have friends who can stay for over an hour at a shot.
General Knoxx: YES YES YES. This one is the best of the four.
Claptrap's Robot Revolution: It's short and padded out with collection achievements, but it's not bad, I'd get it if you had the cash to buy it burning a hole in your pocket, and I'd definitely get it before buying Moxxi.

Zombie Island was OK, semi-decent drops for when it came out and the comedy part was great.
Mad Moxxie was kinda 'eh', wasn't a big fan of the Arena style battles.
General Knoxx was kind of a continuation of the story and all around good (the Prison arc was funny).
I didn't play much of Clap Trap's Revolution yet, but the premise behind it seems cool/fun.
If you're thinking of getting it, for the price, you be dumb to pass up on the GOTY with all the DLCs.

The DLC adds a lot of content and extra playtime, they are a must have.

you could always just buy the game of the year edition for the same price of the original

If you buy the goty
Play the Dlcs in order you will enjoy it more than going randomly (Ned,Moxxi,Knoxx,Claptrap)
Knoxx is the best DLC it added like 15 hours of extra gameplay and the farming for the best weapons in game
Sure Moxxi can be boring but the bank is awesome
Not going to say anymore but you will love the game

Borderlands DLCs are somewhat the DLCs of any game that add the most fun. Especially the last 2.

Do the DLCs significantly add to the fun factor of borderlands? I'm kind of low on money after seeing half of my wishlist go on sale for 75% during the first 2 days.
