Maybe its not your favorite game, but one that was ruined for you. Keep in mind all the hard and worst parts of the game such as if you got stuck will also be forgotten, and possibly relived. Or is the game so good that the bad will be worth it?

Limbo... didn't realize "indie" is an excuse for a crappy product...

EDIT: Seeing this from a programmer's perspective, makes me just sad, really sad.

To be honest, I can't even tell if it was intended to be fun or horror? They missed even that! lol

I noticed about the history of Limbo only after finishing the game, the game is fun but is very short, and the story mhad no sense, these indie games always have some bad things but they are really funny, like Binding of Isaac, their game is funny but game story and introducing video is ultra crappy. But in most cases ppl play them once and never or hardly ever play again =S.

so much wrong here. wrong replies, wrong perceptions. game is not very short. game is not a crappy product. its a good game, a hell of a lot better than a lot of so called "AAA" games, and i wasnt even that crazy about Limbo, but still.

Silent Hill is horror. TF2 is fun. Limbo is????

Yep, the game has POTENTIAL but it's UNFINISHED

This. It wasn't supposed to be horror.

YOU'RE IN FUCKING LIMBO.

Apparently YOU, Mr. OP, missed that.

Thank God someone pulled out the obvious. It isnt even like the game was subtle about it. From one programmer to another OP, how did you miss that? Did you ignore the title of the game, is that the problem?

Well, if you want to make it about me, well... I'm a Silent Hill fan, heard of Limbo, picked it up, tried to play it, couldn't......... there's no point...

And the game, the idea, the atmosphere, and everything have so so much potential... but some dudes decided to release not even half of a finished product! Their excuse: 'wwweee're gonna put it on sale, cause it's INDIE and we're lazzyyy to finish it'

Comment has been collapsed.

I'm a fan of games like Limbo and I feel there is no point to games like Silent Hill. I picked it up, tried to play it, couldn't... there's no point.

I feel that way but obviously both of us are wrong. Both games are right for both of us in our own ways. To each their own. Same with music, every person's body vibrates to a different frequency range or rhythm or tempo in particular...

Nope, the designer in me wants to slap you :))

That's a wrong perception of music, music can be designed to cater to a specific audience, you know?.. Same with games.. same with everything... We, people, aren't that much different from one another, but some choose to deny it ;)

I think you can call To The Moon stupid game too. It doesn't have genre at all. There's no fun in gameplay. It's not horror or action. It's just game telling the story. Or Dear Esther which doesn't have genre too.

And what do you mean by "Seeing this from a programmer's perspective"? Don't you like the code of this game. So, as engineer I don't like TF2, cuz people can't jump in air as it do Scout.

Just explain what you don't like. Nobody understands you

It's a puzzle platformer, if you went in looking for horror you were deeply mistaken.

I see you bashing on a fantastic game that clearly a lot of people enjoyed just because what, you did not enjoy it? You have't even specified a reason and I don't understand how it is half finished, please enlighten me.

Exactly. I am having troubles getting through ZombiU. I hate 'horde defense'.. I hate Doom 3 shadow spawnies behind you that you can only hear then tear you up because in the future we lost all our gaffa tape supplies that were previously used to tape flashlights to guns in a worst case scenario...

To me, Limbo was actually scary, the chase sequences and stuff lol. I get scared of big spiders.

Exactly this. If you go in with the wrong expectations, you're not going to find what you're looking for. Don't blame LIMBO (which, as a puzzle-platformer, is perfectly fine), blame the person who incorrectly told you it was a horror game. It really isn't.

I don't really seem to get your problem with Indie Games.
Don't you see they are exactly the opposite of games like CoD?? They're not made to appeal the masses. If you didn't enjoy it, it probably is not because the developer was lazy as you said. Maybe you just can't seem to get the beauty and excellence of the game.
Sometimes there are games/movies that I do not like because they don't suit me but I recognize they are great, because many times they are

Yeah, there's plenty of indies that are at the top of my favorite, even just these on Steam.

Also try Path of Exile, in beta.

now you can do "hardcore" raids without giving your life to the game. this is a +

i never got into end game crap. it was all elitist bullshit, look at my potodrak that looks like every other protodrake in dal, because real players where in the field um playing and not idleing like a homo in cities. if you where not geared you didn't get in a raid party. total catch 22, or people milked a guild to get "run" then bailed instead of helping others.

BUT wow player base was elitist fags and though i disliked them feel bliz should have left in a game modes for them. since they keept it going this long, and some rpgs like challenging play modes.
