Personally, id say the Assassins Creed franchise, burnout paradise, red dead redemption, mirrors edge, fallout 3 and New Vegas, saints row 2, LittleBigPlanet and The Saboteur are among my favourites.

well MoH:W just came out so you could change your opinion but i must agree its looking very impressive. i was very happy with MoH 2010 and this one is looking even more impressive. all those cut scenes and and emotional music its making it even more good.

So far to me it seems like most of the playtime in at least the singleplayer comes from having to travel across the ship and back for every 2 steps in a mission XD
Nonetheless, it certainly has its charm :)

Tribes: Ascend was released this year and yet it's one of the best shooters I've ever played... Plus there's Borderlands 2, Skyrim, Fallout 3 & New Vegas, TF2, and much much more...
