You are right, odd Search wasn't running in the background, and had not been launched today.

This old work machine does run XP, however search isn't running in the background. I rebooted and it seems to have gone away. Probably was just a glitch. Was starting to wonder if it was perhaps another "Ghost" giveaway like last Halloween.
