sigh I actually don't want to BL you because you seem pretty helpful in the discussion threads. But your GAs are exactly what I dislike - vast majority are group GAs with low, single digit entries which is very exclusionary and unfair. If you made more public or public private GAs I probably wouldn't BL.

I made 300+ public GAs, i count the GAs from my cakeday threads etc. as public too, this is more as the average user on sg create ;o).
Everytime i do public GAs i regret it as soon as the winners are picked (it's a bit of a running gag in my group how unlucky i am with the picked winners and up to 8 rerolls for a DLC are really unfunny and time wasting experiences that kill nearly all motivation for repeats of such experiences).
And as long as cg don't do something against the hordes of autojoiners i don't plan to create more public GAs.
This is the only way to motivate him to do something against them and in my group i can control that no cheater are able to enter the GAs. Sadly this close out a good bunch of people now and it needs a lot more energy and time as public GAs.
I am not more active, connected and healthy enough to advertise my group and invest a lot of energy and time for it, so i don't assume that the member count of around 250 will raise a lot in the next months, which means the members that enter the GAs will not raise too (sometimes a bit sad when they GAs don't reach 5 entries and give no cv but it is what it is... the sg level are only a number and the advantage of a higher level is nearly not existent).

It doesn't needed much time till the first appear with bullshit interpreting of stats and not calculating the invite only GAs that were public and you "forget" that my gifted GAs with lower as 5 entries aren't calculated in the $ stats, you "forget" too that i don't do GAs for overpriced trash games or that i don't buy in shady shops for a few cents and that my keys are, since many years, nearly only from HB + fanatical (which means i don't exploit the cv system).
And you "forget" (to name) this because all of this wouldn't fit into the negative painting that you want to show from me.
I could say more to it but you aren't worth it because you spread such infos not by mistake and go this route since years.
Sometimes a user comment block, done with a script, is helpful when people have bad intentions....

Public GAs do serve to entice people to join SG in the first place. So they're important to have. But your chances of winning one are extremely low because of autojoiners.
I don't regret public GAs because I know they're basically just burning the gift. If you go in thinking that, you won't be disappointed! Also my recent public GAs I use to advertise group GAs so there is some benefit too

ive found lower levels more likely to actually play the GAs they win from here so i just default everything to 0 level. on the other hand i do have to ask for rerolls often for rule breakers and have gotten a decent amount of accounts banned for strait up not following the rules ever and activating any games. twice its resulted in death threats and internet stocking

You might be on to something with lower levels. The other thing I'd consider is that if your giveaway has a longer duration, it allows more real people to enter. Bots will all enter within the first couple hours, and then the rest are humans. So it helps drown out the bots.

also that one time the person made a script that would comment and delete its comment on everything i had. so you would get 200+ notifications for nothing. no way of knowing who posted them. took me like 4 days to catch them at it and block the account

I don't need new users that cg earn more^^.
It give enough public GAs, i see the most of times around 150 with my 1k BL (only lvl 5 or higher users) and with 21k hidden games, so new people can battle against autojoiners .... and have that """fun""" and """""""positive""""""" experience that show them directly what they can expect on sg.
And i strongly assume that it doesn't motivate many of the new users to do, public, GAs.
Only around 10 - 15%, of the ones that enter a GA, read descriptions in the GAs.
Many tests of many people, Kappa and me to name 2 (i can't remember on each other one), shown this.

I wasn't really among the disappointed because I already played Detroit Become Human (several times!) but I was sorry that it got so complicated.

Thats an amazing consolation! I dont care the mixed reviews talking about bugs, im a sucker for novel indies AND stop motion. Its so awesome, i want to reach inside the screen and grab the models to look at all the fine detail up close... Theres many passionate games but doing things in stop motion is like peak passion. Its not just begin handcrafted, doing that is HAAAARD AND SLOW ASF. The kind of patience i dont have (big anxiety issues) and envy. Its freaking awesome
