I was opponent of steam and digital distribution generally so my account is only 5yo. I used dvd versions, i still like boxes, instructions, maps etc. :)

I was on the fence about it. I hated disk checks and disk based DRM, so I figured digital couldn't be any worse. It also helped nudge me when I found out even the disk versions of Half-Life 2 required Steam, so I figured I'd save myself a trip to the store. Back then, where I lived, it was an hour drive to a store that sold new PC games. We had a Gamestop, but it didn't carry PC games. Walmart did carry PC games, but they didn't get new releases.

Last night I was looking for games to give away for another idea I had, when I noticed balloons on the Steam logo. This was added by Enhanced Steam to indicate it was my Steam anniversary. I don't usually do cake day or birthday type events, but I decided since I was already looking through my key list I should grab 13 games to give away to celebrate my 13 years on Steam. I meant to put this up yesterday while it was still my Steam birthday, but I had a hard time picking out which 13 games to give away.
So here are 13 games, one for each year I've been on Steam. Trains are slow, so here's a nice list instead:
