Games with unique pixel art style?

I am playing it right now. I expected everything but what the game actually is.
It's also what makes the game so great tho. I love watching the clusterfuck after beating a level where a dozen little pixel soldies shoot the boss. :D

Yeah metal slug graphics are legendary, but the complexity of it and the incredible animation would be impossible to do for a single person without spending years doing it. Thanks for the suggestion however.

Oh, if we can mentioned unreleased games, then there's Mother Russia Bleeds, Death's Gambit, Katana Zero and Songbringer. Although they vary in quality. All of them look great, but the question is if they're really that unique or not.
I do agree on EITR tho. Never thought a Souls-like game would make for such great pixel art.

Kathy Rain looks quite unique as they scale photos and paintings for background stuff, but not sure if that looks that good in reality.
