Is it possible to giveaway DLS with the game, as a single giveaway ?
(or group of DLC's for one game) if they are separate gifts / keys.

For example :
Lately I periodically see giveaways "Warehouse and Logistics Simulator"
and separately - "Warehouse and Logistics Simulator DLC: Hell's Warehouse"
(They were both in some bundle).
I want win both, but i can't enter to DLS's giveaway (can't activate it), before I get base game :(

If the creator wants to give away the game with DLС - he will have to give the DLS for free to anyone who has won base game.
Because chance is very small to win at the same time giveaway with a base game and givwaway with the DLC.

Or : i have in my inventory game "Jusr Cause2" and all DLC's, but all as separate gifts.
I have all DLC's for Fallout New Vegas - but again as separate gifts.
I want to please someone full package. But it seems this is impossible?

The only possible way is to either
A) find a title that defines what you are giving away and add a disclaimer into the description
or
B) just create a base game giveaway and place in the description that the winner will be getting another gift with the main game.

Good luck!

A) If it exists on Steam as single pack ? (like "Complete Pack" etc)
B) another gift - as free bonus ?

(Warehouse and Logistics Simulator - no pack "Base game + DLC".
Just Cause 2 - no pack "Base game + DLC". Store has a pack "Just Cause 2: DLC Collection", but no this pack in GA list.
Fallout: New Vegas : "Ultimate Edition" contains Base game + DLC, but it defined as another separate game.
I have "Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition", but "Fallout: New Vegas" and all DLC's not marked at steam store as "already in your Steam library". So, impossible to activate "Fallout: New Vegas" + all DLC's as "Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition".
I mean that the "pack" may have a different ID. And the winner is unable to confirm that activated the game.)

Is there a technical possibility on Steamgifts to make available giveaway DLC's or "game + DLC" as united packs, if they go separately at Steam ?
Does it make sense to offer such an idea?

When there's an available "game+DLC" package on Steam, but you only have separate keys, it's not advised to select the package, as doing so would technically be considered a "misleading giveaway".

B) just create a base game giveaway and place in the description that the winner will be getting another gift with the main game.

In that case, you would make a giveaway for the base game, then contact the winner on Steam (or e-mail) to give them the DLCs.
This would be done outside Steam Gifts, so you wouldn't get CV points for them.

There're 2 versions of Fallout New Vegas: the old one (and its DLCs), and the GOTY version. Same with Fallout 3.
Although they're technically the same game, they're configured as different products, so it's possible to own both.

Steam Gifts's database is reliant on Steam's, it's possible to make "game+DLC" giveaways only when they're such packages in the Steam Store.

I had in mind - to make something like a "multi-giveaway". As if a few giveaways, folded into one. Like as bundles.
On summing up points that are needed for entry.
With summing up CV points. And (perhaps) +1 to "won" statistics for each component.
main : one winner. "The winner takes it all" :)

ie

  • entered into 1 giveaway, but get all the components at once
  • paid so many points, how much need to the game + DLC
  • creator will receive CV points as for game + DLC

translated with Google translator, I'm sorry for the awry phrases.

I wish that was a thing u could do its hard to giveaway the seperate DLC's if it its not a actual DLC listed by the game itself for example:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/42950/ i would have to check everyone to see if they have the base game.

Those DLC are so painful to make giveaways for!
After reading a few "horror stories" about infinite re-rolls, I decided to give mine to the winner of the base game as a bonus.
As of today, I'm still waiting for the aforementioned winner to log into Steam Gifts, or even Steam.
