Hello everybody. Long time ago friend of mine gave me a game as a gift on steam, which i included in my library. Several months later i realized i got it both in my library and inventory and im not really sure how i got it second time. Perhaps i won it on some christmass event or it's beta/demo access. So my question is - how can i check if it's full game which i can giveaway?

It usually says "Guest pass" or something like that on the item's description if it isn't a full game.

Edit: Just checked your inventory... you don't have any game in there so idk what you're talking about. Unless it's on another account.

steam allows you to hide steam inventory items.

Thanks for reply. I just realized there is description which says it contains two products: The Ship, The Ship Single Player, and when i click on their names it takes me to the shop page with full game, so i think it's ok to give it away (there is also nothing about demo/beta in gift's description).

Yeah, it's a unique game which gives you extra copy after activating the gift.

Oh, you're talking about The Ship.

Yes, if your friend gave you a purchased copy of The Ship then when you activate it you receive 2 copies of the game in your inventory.

The ship, is known as the "breeding game" as the original bought copy gives 2 extra copies and those copies i believe also spawn another 1 each. that is how you got the extra copy

The Ship has, on occasion, given away copies to people who own it, so that's probably how you ended up with a second copy. As far as I know, The Ship doesn't have a demo, so you're probably safe.
