You would need to beat every game within the collection for it to count. So for your examples given, you would need to beat all three games within the collection to get credit for the title. Has been done before.

Two questions that aren't answered in the post:
- It doesn't matter where I actually got the game (e.g. I might've bought it from a bundle other than Choice; I might've bought it directly on Steam), so long as the game has also been featured in Choice, is that right?
- How do the rules apply to roguelites? E.g. all roguelites are eligible by obtaining victory once, only roguelites with a clear meta-progression story are eligible, or something else?
- Edit: another example is Monster Prom 2 from Apr 2023. It's a dating sim that is similar to a roguelite, in that it takes much less time to "win a run" (in this case, successfully go on a date) than to experience the vast amount of possible events the game has to offer. (See HLTB: ~1hr to "win a run", 120+hrs to 100% the game) Is the Monster Prom franchise eligible for Monthly in a Month?

- Yes but be careful of versions/editions if there's some disparity better to ask in a comment here. (like it was gold edition but you have only base game, it could be okay as you only need to play through base campaign but better to ask..)
- I guess only need to win/clear once(but better to get an answer from OP), you can always 100% achievement it to count....

- Considering the skills/grinding it is often required to 100% roguelites, it can easily take 300+ hours to 100% a single one. Also, since OP doesn’t allow MP-only games (whether you 100% the game or not), I could see the same logic being applied to roguelites as well.

I think roguelites are allowed, atleast some of them. I've seen many people enter with Shotgun King before and they were approved.

Hi, sorry for missing your question but it seems akfas and DanielStoSve have answered (thank you both). When it comes to roguelites, it depends*. If you have one in mind, you can check previous threads or ask here to confirm what is required for it to qualify.
You mentioned Monster Prom 2: Monster Camp and for this game I'm looking for the "Camp Scamp" achievement.

Question: Is for The Suicide of Rachel Foster the achievement "Alone. Complete day 9." enough? Finished to game but final decision at the end can lead to the ""All together again" achievement. Waited out the timer and did not make the decision to get that achievement. So is "Alone" achievement enough? As I still played through the entire game.

Yes. It seems many people had issues getting the achievement to unlock. The devs have mucked with the conditions to get it a few times, and it is now technically missable.

Knowing myself it can be a "me" problem by causing the bugs, but it was a marathon in frustration. |

I'm a little late to the party, but this seems like it might be fun.
Before I start, could I ask whether games that you've tried to play but haven't made progress on count?
So, for example, I've played only 19 minutes of GRIS, but I have the first objective/achievement, so I would guess that would be disqualifying. Then I have 16 minutes on Passpartout: The Starving Artist, which also crosses the no playtime stipulation but has no achievements or progress.
However, what I'm mostly wondering about are the 1 minute each on Tomb Raider and Undertale, and I think it need not be said that that's not enough time to accomplish anything.
What would your call be?
EDIT/CORRECTION: A couple of achievements for Passpartout have partial progress.

EDIT: I want to make it clear that I respect your final decision regardless, I wasn't clear on whether 1 minute of run time counted as "play time" if I wasn't playing the game.
I meant to provide the other two games more as counter-examples, but I didn't make that clear out of a greedy impulse that you might let them pass, I hope that didn't feel too weaselly of me. It's clear to me that those are both off the table, and I didn't want to be disrespectful.

I would use those games in my entry if I were in your shoes. As long as you don't have any achievements, it's fine. And you can barely call 1 minute a "playtime". Is booting a game to see if it would actually play smoothly on my potato laptop against the rules of the event? No, of course not. But struggling with launching it would easily give me 10 minutes of "playtime". It just falls under "idle time", I wasn't playing

The challenge is simple: Play and beat any 6 games, starting today, that have been featured in any given Humble Monthly/Choice bundle in one month.
The prize: 2x ANIMAL WELL
Note: This means I'm giving away two copies of the game and will have 2 winners.
Game length does not matter and I'm not looking for 100% achievement runs. So long as you play and beat 6 games, I'm happy. You can go easy mode and play a bunch of 1h games or go crazy and play 6 +30h games. So long as they were in a monthly at a given point, it is all good.
Just post a comment with either screenshots/ achievements showing that you fulfilled the criteria and I'll add you on Steam and give you the link. Feel free to share your thoughts on the games you've played, but it is not required.

Why you doing this?
I hate money. That and I realized I've been subbed to the monthly for over eight years (yes it has been that long, I checked) and it occurred to me that I've barely touched the games I've gotten from it, let alone played them. Figured the same would be true for a few others, so I figured this is a good way to change that. A sensible person would probably unsub in this situation, but please refer to the beginning as to why that will not happen.
I've played the first X minutes of a game, can I pick it for the event?
No. You cannot have any play time or achievements prior to the start of the event. The only exception is idle time from farming Steam cards.
Can I play a MP only game?
No. It needs to have an "end" in order for me to count it as beaten, so it needs to have a campaign/story mode.
If a game was sold as a non-Steam copy in a bundle (origin/uplay/drm-free/etc), can I pick it as a choice if I own a Steam copy?
No. The reason being that those who own a Steam copy would have an extra option that would not be available to everyone who bought the same bundle. If the game was originally sold as a non-Steam copy, but Humble later provided steam keys to everyone who bought the bundle, then the game would be allowed.
Why six games?
The first few monthlies had 6/7 games in them so I went with that.
How long are you going to do this?
Until my credit card statements gives me nightmares.
This event "ends" on September 3rd when the next next HB Choice releases, though the giveaway itself will end the next day. If you manage to finish game number six in between that time, feel free to post, but know that I cannot guarantee that I'll be able to give you the link in time.
