Well, of course it is. It is targeted at kids and tweens; the same group that can push parents to the brink of suicide. They'd pay anything to distract the little monsters for even a short amount of time.

I am pretty sure 90% of the fans are 18+. I think they are not even targeting kids and teens.

It's not as obvious, sadly. Comics aimed at kids had a really brutal decline to the point that Disney comics in the US were cancelled for quite some time before they were attempted to come back. And those were, for a brief time, the best-selling comic books on that continent. The North American market has been really brutal for comics not treading knee-deep in blood and guts ever since the nineties. The fact that something like this can be this popular is mostly unheard of, just like how the (otherwise excellently written ) Archie total reboot's success was jaw-dropping surprise.
To be honest though, I like that kids' comics are reviving a little. It's a sub-genre within comics that should get more love, they can sometimes have more creativity and fun in 22 pages than a 120-page TPB from the Big Two.

Tier 2 is pretty much at Tier 3 price already, so I imagine this speaks well of the popularity ... maybe not with buyers but with their kids.

Most likely. I only read a few issues to see what the buzz is about. Not as fun as the show since it follows the typical kids' comics (at least the main series), so it has several very short stories, but they are funny and written nice, so I can understand why it's popular.

" I only read a few issues to see what the buzz is about."
Riiight. No, but seriously, I think I might, too, out of curiosity.

Heh, really. I used to do a monthly article on the current state of the North American comics industry (at least the non-digital one), and this one really stood out. But this was also how I learnt about how Quitely was working again (well… if we consider his current speed with his health problems that) with Millar on an interesting concept, to name an example from the other end of the spectrum. Although I always had a soft spot for kids' comics.

Don't know what that has to do with steam, or even games, but whoever likes this should have fun with it.
And the BTA is even high enough that i don't think i have seen it this high on any games bundle, which is something considering you can get the full telltales bundle for nearly the same price.

For 0.01, these comics are worth getting.
Confession: I was a Brony in 2010-2012. /cringe. I've collected a few of these comics and right now they are sitting in my closet buried in a box I hope no one will ever find. BUT- they were actually really good reads. If you're open minded and not a brony, definitely buy the lowest tier for $0.01 and read it when there isn't anybody around. I too, bought this bundle for $0.01 for ahem the shits and giggles
